And this is why in my Danny Phantom crossover fic with Dani in SwellView I have Ray being at least semi responsible and following child labor laws and not having Henry out crime fighting after 10pm, especially on school nights!!!

This just in, Swellview was paying attention after all. Just no one reads the newspaper anymore.

The people who read this article shook their heads and said “damn that’s a shame” and kept going with no indication they actually cared. And they were all over 50

As much as I love Ray I feel like the whole Batfam would hate Ray, specifically just for him bringing Henry into crime fighting at 13 the way he did.

Like they would hear Ray’s backstory and how he was forced into becoming a superhero the second he got powers. How his dad removed him from school and started training him. How he had no choice.

And then they’d learn Ray hired Henry when Henry was 13 and too young and naive to understand just what he was signing up for. How much responsibility was immediately put in Henry’s shoulders. How he immediately (second episode of season 1) wasn’t able to balance his superhero life with his normal ordinary non superhero life! How Ray didn’t care or bother to ensure Henry learned how to balance his life properly or even care to make sure Henry was going to school and passing while working for him. The amount of danger Henry was constantly in at 13, and yeah while Ray was obviously upset whenever Henry got hurt, he still continued to throw him into dangerous situations!

They would all, especially Dick and Jason, be super mad at how Ray just continued the cycle and endangered a child seemingly without care for his safety! How Ray seemed to purposefully seek out a young naive kid to take in as his sidekick cause he had to know the kid wouldn’t understand the consequences of the choice he made to become a sidekick!

They would all hate how Ray seemed to throw Henry straight into crime fighting with no training at all! Like literally the first episode Henry got his costume sorted and they immediately got an emergency call and Ray brought him right out into the field. And then he was gonna bring Henry with him to fight the Toddler and his goons the next day again without any training! He didn’t train him at all just threw him right into the deep end. Like eventually Ray did start training him in how to fight but that doesn’t really change that he threw a 13yo into crime fighting with no training at all!

Plus there’s just how irresponsible Ray is all around and how easily he falls for obvious traps. Especially in the instances where it’s obvious Ray knows it’s a trap but falls into it anyway because he just can’t help himself and it puts him and Henry in Danger (S3E6 Hour of Power, he knew that was a trap and still stuck his hands in the box and put himself and Henry in danger because of it!)! It would absolutely piss Batman off to no end the way Ray falls into bad guy traps

Actually I just thought of something else.

In the movie Missy says she didn’t know he (Henry/Kid Danger) has powers so she never wrote them into her stories.

But for like a year or two there Kid Danger did have a very public super power: hyper motility! Like for a whole episode the people of SwellView thought his super power was a disease.

So even if Missy didn’t know about Henry’s force field power she should have known about his Hyper Motility and should have written that into at least one of her stories, right?!

Okay but wait if Missy knew that Henry Hart is/was Kid Danger then how didn’t she know that Kid Danger didn’t actually die?!!

Like yeah Henry changed his last name apparently but he fights crime now in a different city without a mask! The people were calling him by his name. His face was plastered across a bus and probably dozens of advertisements (some of which were pry online) for that stupid wrist watch thing!

There’s no way this girl wouldn’t have been able to find out that Henry was still alive and thus realize that meant Kid Danger was still alive (you know since she knew they where the same person)! Like all that research and shit she did and at no point did she come across Henry’s face plastered all across the internet for that watch advertisement?!
