I dislike Tony because he reminds me of my old boss and anyone who says "But he did nothing wrong" can personally fight me.
I fully support hating characters because they remind you of someone you hate.
He also kind of gives Michael Scott if he was successful vibes lmao.

They are already selling data to midjourney, and it's very likely your work is already being used to train their models because you have to OPT OUT of this, not opt in. Very scummy of them to roll this out unannounced.

Tony Stark is to the MCU what Snape is to Harry Potter

This photo of Infinity War before effects is a sad but hilarious comparison, mainstream MCU movies chose cgi over practical effects (even for freaking clothes that could freaking be made) but James Gunn doesn't have his characters wearing a cgi mess
SO TRUE. I'm really hoping the new DC movies rely less on cgi. GOTG 3 was a great blend of practical and cgi. I hope studios realise cheaper movies just make more money and move away from cgi nightmares.

Marvel has gone too far with the AI generated intro to Secret Wars. It not only looks like an ugly nightmare, it's setting a dangerous precedent in the midst of negotiations to protect writers from AI.

I had a few issues with Endgame
In the wake of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 I watched all of the media involving the Guardians. This included Avengers: Endgame. This reminded me of the issues I had with the movie. (Leaving out the time travel stuff cause I’m not a big fan of time travel in movies)
First and foremost, the handling of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Their story up to that point had been about learning to open up and let people in. To be a family. Rocket lost every single member of that family. Nebula’s sister was murdered by their abuser. We got a single scene that conveyed their loss. Don’t get me wrong I liked this scene, but considering how much time we devoted to Tony Stark’s MANPAIN, I would have liked a little more that a scene that fits into a 7 second GIF.
Tumblr media
The bigger issue was not giving them a proper reunion scene. They’re a family and they had been separated for 5 years. I think we deserved a little more.
Tumblr media
But the BIGGEST issue was the handling of Thor’s entire arch. Thor failed to kill Thanos because he was consumed by vengeance, he WANTED Thanos to know who killed him which gave Thanos the time to snap his fingers and dust half the Universe. They took this man who lost his entire family, his home, most of his people, who failed to stop the “Blip” from happening out of his desire for revenge and you turned him and his alcoholism and depression into an in poor taste fat joke.
Tumblr media
This juxtaposed with the sincerity of how they treated Peter’s alcoholism and depression in Vol. 3 and it just makes me more disappointed. The Guardians showed concern for Peter, the Avengers mocked Thor.
Bonus nitpicks:
Rocket is smarter than Tony Stark. Plenty of comic evidence for this. Wanted to see Rocket dunk on him a bit.
Natasha deserved better. We got a whole funeral for Tony but nothing for Natasha in the film. So glad Ms. Marvel at least showed us that the general public know of the sacrifice she made for the world.

I wouldn't even give them that leeway because GOTG VOL 2 sets it up so perfectly when he realizes that even with all his faults he's still loved and hasn't pushed his new family away. Sucks that he and Thor were left as comedic side characters when they had some of the most interesting stakes.
The choice to focus on Peter and Tony's shallow relationship over Rocket and the Guardians or Thor losing his entire kingdom is crazy.
Once again, mourning how good Rocket's storyline in Endgame could've been. There was so much there, but they don't give him anything good to do. They just don't take him seriously.

His tweets are all deleted, but he had a meltdown over the pushback about casting a white man to play a black Brazilian character. He kept saying the criticism was ridiculous and said Roberto identifies more with being Brazilian than being black as if both things can't be true at the same time.
Seeing Miles' Puerto Rican heritage represented so well in ATSV and comparing that to the fact that a major producer on that X-Men cartoon doesn't think Sunspot can be both Brazilian and Black makes me a little jealous 😭. We're never getting good Brazilian rep in the US.

I was back and forth on whether or not superhero fatigue was becoming a majority feeling but GOTG and Across The Spiderverse really shows that people are sick of bad superhero movies and will show up to the ones that have genuine heart and effort. I think it's a good thing people are no longer showing up to every marvel movie and that low effort movies like Shazam 2 and Quantumania are not being watched en mass like they used to. Maybe Marvel will be inspired to slow their output and focus on quality over quantity lmao.

I love when people see this side blog and think this means I spend every waking minute being a hater and obsessing over Tony Stark. That sounds like projection, this is merely a vent space where we can complain about the mcu and how badly it's turned out.
Anyway, feel free to send me asks complaining about anything mcu you want to get off your chest.

The idea of Peter call tony “dad” but still refer may as “aunt” and Ben as “uncle” is really dumb , the reason why is dumb is the fact why will Peter EVER call a man who knows for like a year (and who blackmail him and treat him like sh#t”) “dad” rather than call the two actual people who him know since his birth and who raised him and love him his “parents” (note: sorry if I made Spelling errors English isn’t my first language)
Someone could really write an essay about how fandoms try to mold characters into a nuclear family dynamic when they don't have one.

I cant believe they're going after other accounts. Get a life omg
i think the idea of having a character hate blog sounds exhausting.
why waste time talking about stuff about a fictional character you don't like, when you talk about stuff you enjoy more?
tony stark isn't a real person, and i feel like creating a blog and making posts devoted to hating people who are fans of him to be kind of ... jerkish? don't yuck other people's yum, man.
I'M not even a big Tony fan (I'm mostly indifferent towards him), and accounts like this seem rather unnecessary for stuff that ultimately doesn't matter.
this is a film that came out, what, 7 years ago? why waste time on that? seriously.
Why waste all our time sending an ask like that? Seriously. If you spent even a little time scrolling you'd know this blog isn't only about Tony, it hasn't ever been. And I do enjoy thinking critically about the media I consume, thank you very much. Gets my brain working instead of me sitting there like a zombie and then forgetting what the movie was about a week later. It ultimately doesn't matter, so why critise people for how they consume their media?
(Also, if my problem was with CW alone, this blog wouldn't exist)
Don't yuck other people's yum, dude.

I think people don’t get that it’s not about ‘wasting time’ hating and more it feels good to find views that match yours, especially on tumblr when it feels you have to agree with the hive mind or else.
When I see post after post about things that bother me I feel so frustrated. It’s nice to see other people are bothered and I’m not alone. As long as we are not attacking each other or sending rude AF passive aggressive asks (aka that new ask lol) what’s the problem?
Yes! You fucking get it!
