This show was so memorable, it was an honor sharing the stage with so many other amazing emo acts from Texas!

The Ravens (9.29.24)

The Ravens made their start in July 2024, playing a show at Vibes Underground. Beginning their role as a new explosive band in the San Antonio scene.

Their sound is screamo revival, mixed with punk, and a dash of emo, all put together gives you music you want to cry to, but also to bash heads to. Each member of The Ravens has a special talent and keeps people constantly hooked. Especially their catchy riffs and head banging DnB, with vocals that could make a suicidal man think twice. I’ve never had a band that i’ve always wanted to hear more of until The Ravens, waiting for their music to release has been the hardest part of knowing them.

Personally me and vocalist, & guitarist; Elijah have known each other for a bit, and is one of the most talented musicians i’ve ever known. bassist; Aidan, drummer; Daniel, and guitarist; Maurico all have earned their flowers, the only thing we can do now is give them what they deserve.

Their stage performances are worth the watch and every penny spent, i’ve only had the opportunity of seeing these guys once but would definitely do anything i can to see them again.

This is my favorite new band that’s been playing recently. not biased cause i know them but… their style of sound is a mixture of rebellion on your parents and holding the door for an old lady. What I think is the perfect music to thrash my head repeatedly while watching shirtless men throw themselves at teenagers. These 4 are making the san antonio scene feel new again and hopefully will rise better and sooner than they think.

they are going going to be my number one artist this year XD. its been really cool watching this project grow, and become as popular as it has. i remember when it was just 1 person releasing singles. im a big fan of all the members in this band! the drummer <kristen> is in minor issue, the guitarist <angel> plays bass in harmony’s demise and is Feelings left outside. their vocalist <sebby> is in alinah, august flowers, and larval therapy. All the bands mentioned are great screamo/hc worth listening to. please play unforgiven one day 🙏🙏

This is from September’s last show. SITOTIDTOY is my current favorite 5th wave emo band, super sad I never caught them live, and that they broke up. This is their most popular song but go check out their discography it’s super good. Some other of my favorites are: Will meet again, Girls I like math when I get confused I commit scuicide, I wrote a song but forgot, Gavin’s song, and infected with your lies.

Texas is south - Devil Wears Prada @ cornerstone 2006

*disclaimer I have no idea what I’m talking about*

Cornerstone Christian music festival was a Christian music festival (🗿) that usually had musicians like The 77s, Resurrection Band, Larry Norman, Supertones, Vigilantes of Love etc. Devil wears Prada says they are a Christian band, and ask to get booked. They say no- in response devil wears Prada plays 4 days on diy stages outside. They got booked next year 🙏

god i love saetia. in their time they took a stranger and more experimental approach towards screamo, but as time went on their influence on screamo proved to be enormous. really hoping to catch them before they stop playing permanently
