Another thing is that when this aggression started, we were so worried about winter and how displaced people in tents will survive it. Earlier this week the temperature in Gaza hit 38 degrees (100 Fahrenheit) and we are now wondering how will displaced people survive the heat in those tents.

ALSO WHY WINE
I'm still so confused with everyone saying they've had sips of alcohol before they were 18 because although I live in a country with a huge underage drinking and alcoholism problem, my parents Only offered me alcohol after i was 18. And offering alcohol to minors at least where I live specifically is seen as, at the very least, really weird (unless they're 17 about to turn 18, and sometimes in 15 year old birthday parties)

While we're at it: using language that downplays genocide is a form of genocide denial.
Joe Biden isn't doing a bad job, Joe Biden is providing material support for genocide.
Israel isn't handling the situation badly, Israel is committing genocide.
Employing euphemisms minimizes the reality of this genocide. It's disrespectful and dangerous.
If you are more uncomfortable with the word genocide than you are with the reality of genocide, then you are not prepared to be part of any serious discussion. Work on that on your own time.

Donation train for Eman!
I've just donated 20 CHF to Eman's fundraiser. If you see this and have the means, please donate to her campaign and make a reblog saying that you've donated!
Eman's family is in danger right now and they need to evacuate Sudan as soon as possible. It has already been several months, and Eman is still not yet even halfway to her goal.
I want to try to exceed the halfway point within the next week. We're almost there. If you can't match my donation, please reblog and share. Ask a friend and see if they can donate. Everything helps.

1. i’m like. almost 18. and i live in québec. people give me little sippy of whatever alcohol is being drunk at the meal if i ask for it it’s seen as preparing yourself for being allowed to actually drink
2. do you have any idea how many jewish rituals involve wine ???? every shabbat has wine. it’s currently pesach which involves four cups of wine. i went to a seder and i didn’t drink four full cups of wine but i did have four sippies of wine. which is enough to taste it anywho
