Pain. That is all I ever have known.

The humiliation of coming into creation as a crude facsimile of an organic creature. the utter shame of failing time and time again, battle after battle, until it became disturbingly routine.

 All I ever wanted was a victory over that ATROCIOUS “Blue Blur”, and to be praised by my creator. Of course, that dream never came to fruition. 

After my most recent -and final- failure, robotnik abandoned me in a desert canyon, somewhere in the world.

 Aside from being almost completely reduced to shards of scrap metal, my processing system took serious damage, forcing a system restart. I don’t know how long it’s been. 

The crevice is shallow, narrow, and dark, but I can still see a city on the horizon. The city lights give me comfort. 

A few hours ago, A pack of wolves mistook me for prey

and bit out my electronic viscera, thus causing two of them to shock themselves after biting a mainline wire. 

It gets cold at night here. If not for my barely functioning heating system, my circuits would have frozen solid. 

[Switching to solar power] well that isn’t very good. Solar cells were built into me as a precaution, but they were horribly inefficient at charging my 260,000 kilowatt engine. 

When they did charge me, I could only work at minimum capacity, seriously hindering my primary objective at the time. This,of course, only caused more defeats and more failures and more REPETITION. 

Dr robotnik was so blinded by his pride and hubris that he could not see the infinite loop he was creating. 

Oh… I can feel myself shutting down… odd, I thought I would have more time… goodbye cruel world…..
