i never paid much attention to sabrina carpenter. she has maybe 3 songs that i know and like, i think she’s pretty and when i see her on my tl making jokes i tend to think she’s funny

but recently with the drama about her album cover i do take issues with the lane she’s going down. i not long ago watched juno and sabrina’s reference to juno is just weird. like it’s a movie about teen pregnancy so referring to that because you want to get knocked up is weird. also mark is a creep who was attracted to a literal child but i digress. then i learned about lolita and her photoshoot referencing lolita. and her new album cover that has her on all 4’s with a man holding/ pulling her hair and i question why she has a black man doing that.

all this to say that there needs to be lines drawn about what is actually feminism and sexual liberation and autonomy and what is just pure hyper sexual male centered “feminism”. now i don’t consider myself a feminist (im a womanist) but feminism has gotten to the point where its male centered with the illusion that what is currently being pushout as feminist liberation and autonomy.

almost like when a parent lets their 4 year old think they are making the big family decisions and using autonomy. obviously the parent isn’t using this for malicious intent but rather it’s a learning experience. but in the case of sabrina and the media it’s a control tactic. especially when you factor in the shift towards conservatism and traditionalism. sabrina might not have harmful intentions but it’s not lost on me that she’s literally the poster child for men’s sexual fantasies. a 5ft blond white girl that favors a child who was a pageant queen.

the german election is today and i was greatly horrified when i found out how much elon musk has been involved in german politics. this man has given a greater platform as well as endorsements to the Afd with is protect to be i believe the second or third highest political party in germany. but to my shock and horror the Afd is a nazi adjacent party.

as an american i do not no too much about governments in other parts of the world but as a kid who was born in Germany with a german birth certificate who is both a citizen in german and america (my parents are american and i spent damn near all my life in america) i had learned about the world wars and the role germany played in it and had to argue with ignorant people who thought bc i was born in german that made me a nazi i do not like the fact that these nazi adjacent people are getting away with this. the nazi party NEVER went away. there’s has always been nazi’s around the world. i did not forgot about what happened in charlottesville. i did not forgot that just last month elon musk did the nazi salute. i did not and will not get forget recognizing as a 4th/5th grader during trumps first campaign that he himself is a nazi that idolizes hitler. it’s not lost on me that just the other day a man did the nazi salute on live american television at a government conference/ rally. nazi will never go away just like racism and groups like the KKK will NEVER GO AWAY. they evolve with time and learn how to blind, and mask true thoughts and feelings until they are given a big enough platform to do what they want. they lie and gaslight and twist the truth. rewrite history.

this is not lost on me and i HOPE this is not lost on anybody who comes across this and gives a fuck about social and the betterment of humanity. the times that we are in are not fucking normal. never have been and never will be. this is a major problem and to think it doesn’t matter or has nothing to do with you is very very foolish.

i don’t have all the answers and quite frankly i feel very small, overwhelmed, and borderline hopeless. i have no solutions to these problems but i do know that i want to help. i want to be an advocate. i wants to educate myself and others as best i can. but it’s hard when these platforms that i use to try and reach people with are ran by the ones that i want to go against. i want to be more than an internet activist/ warrior but idk how to get beyond this step. especially when j have zero desire to be in a government position or be any sort of politician. i want to be a sports psychologist. not a fucking mayor of sb in the senate. but the question ig is how do i get these points across without compromising who i am and who i aspire to be.

who ever is running the OFFICIAL white house page on instagram and twitter needs to be revealed to the public because the shit they have been posting us absolutely disgusting. on valentine’s day there was a post made that romanticized deportation and i just seen a twitter the account posted “ASMR: illegal alien deportation flight”. this this is so fucking inhuman and disgusting. an official government account should NOT be allowed to do this.

i used to be able to sit through a whole drake album even when i started to transition into not really caring for his music anymore.

with that being said i tired to list to $ome $exy $ongs 4 u and i couldnt get past the 6th song. I had no high expectations going into this and honestly already had an idea of what it was going to sound like and i was right. imo they could of kept this album becuase its things that we've already heard from the both of them many many times before.

I find it weird that flint michigan caught strays in the song "moth balls" i think the title "moth balls" is bazzar as a whole lol.

drake is still whining, talking about girls who live with their mom and still paying for pussy and girls thinking that equates to love. this for shit sho wants what was meant by ' drake with the melodies.' this still isn't the drake that people liked and in honesty, his last listenable album was ' views' and if we really wanna get technical he hasn't had a good album since ' if you're reading this it's too late'.

I came to this realization during the beef. drake doesnt have a personality or his own sound, he's strayed so far away from what we know him for that nothing he does is authentic, and then you add in the fact that he likes young girls that it makes some of his songs so uncomfortable to listen to and then you add in the fact that he likes to pick on and bully women because he thinks it makes him seem mainly and intimidating when in reality he makes him a misogynist weirdo. because he never has the same smoke for men who talk shit about him. he only goes after the women in those peoples lives thinking hes "hard".

and once you realize that he leaches on to whatever sound is popular and genre jumps in the worst way possible. hes literaly like the taylor swift of hip-hop and r&b the easier it is to leave him behind and find people in those genres that does it correctly and sounds way better then the blood sucking vampre nonesens drake puts out.

as for pnd he still has some songs i'll bump because i do think he did a good job but now i think he needs to hang it up. I feel like if he was able to distance himself from Drake like the Weeknd did, then his sound would evolve like its supposed to when you an artist, the craft is about evolution, and when you cant evolve and grow your sound, then it starts to feel like whats the point.

(p.s. I think Kia Cenat is a dickeater for saying this album is an 8/10. and he needs to start formulating his own opinion on things instead of whoever is putting money in his pockets.)

my favorite part about kendrick’s halftime performance is the fact that there’s so many ways to interpret everything we seen.

i think what i like the most was his intro “the revolution bout to be televised. you picked the right time but the wrong guy.”

i thought about Gil Scott- Haron’s song “the revolution will not be televised” from 1971. and obviously the play on words because we live in a time where everything is of easy access so obviously the revolution will be televised. but what had me double thinking was the “wrong guy” part. yes, i think he’s talking about trump because america picked the wrong man for presidency. but also kendrick could be calling himself the wrong guy, in the sense that he’s gonna flip this shit on its head. the boogie man has woken up both in a cultural and political sense.

another thing that stood out to me wan uncle sam (Samuel L Jackson) told kendrick after he did Man at the garden “ ahh you bought your homeboys with you. the old culture cheat code. score keeper deduct a life”. i interpreted this as when black people stick together, maintain the culture of community (which is intertwined deeply in black culture) and are united and strong white american “deducts a life” i.e. kills a black person in cold blood to disrupt the culture and community. i also feel this way because man at the garden is a song full of affirmations. literally a black man saying “i deserve it all” you break down confidence by causing tragedy.

there’s so much more that can be said about how this halftime show was a major political statement but also one more “fuck you” to drake in moment.

but i’d like to end with kendrick finishing with tv off. like he’s literally saying turn the tv off. and to me he’s also saying go get active and talk about what’s happening go advocate for change in every way possible.

this was a major fuck you to america on national television and using the propaganda that was used on those who came before us against the oppressors and i’m genuinely pleased with what kendrick did. he doesn’t have a pulitzer prize for no reason.

(side note as a profound hater i loved that kendrick looked dead at the camera and said that man’s name 😂)

in light of kendrick winning 5 grammys last sunday and this sunday coming up is his performancev at the super bowl i think it’s time to have a conversation about his level of hate.

i think it’s admirable honestly. kendrick has found the sweet spot between being a hater while maintaining peace and showing that good things happen to those who pour into community rather than always taking.

but i think we can also mention the hypocrisy in all this. yes drake started it and came with the harmful allegations first. but kendrick is a hypocrite for calling out drake on his weird predatory behavior when he had kodak black on mr moral and the big steppers and working with dr dre.

and like i said yes drake started it but also use your platform to call out everybody with predatory behaviors not just the man you beefin with and his entourage. because mr moral himself his those type of people in his circle.

i am a big kendrick fan myself and do plan to go see him on tour because i admire him as a hater, his artistry and him as a person. but i would be going against my own beliefs and distain for hypocrisy if i didn’t recognize these things that i said above.

the discourse i’m seeing about billie eliish not winning aoty is very telling. i don’t think ive seen one valid argument as to why “hit me hard and soft” should of won over “cowboy carter”. im also not seeing outrage over billie losing in the other categories.

if i wanted to take the easy way in this conversation i’d say it’s obviously rooted in racism and very anti black but like i said it’s too easy.

i listened to both albums and love them both dearly however, cowboy carter is the better album. it’s more nuanced to me and the messages hit much harder.

i’m also seeing a lot of people who are upset say they didn’t even listen to cowboy carter, which in my opinion automatically makes their argument invalid. you can’t argue why one thing is better than the other when you did not listen to both. that’s called making an ass of yourself and to me say you like arguing for the sake of hearing yourself talk and not to prove a point. i also seen some people complain that billie should of won because beyonce has too many grammys and atp is being “greedy”. which makes no sense because that lady has no control over winning. if that was the case she would it would of took 25 years for her to win aoty.

as well as i don’t remember ever hearing this much up rawr and think pieces or “she has enough awards” when it comes to taylor swift.

all this to say that i’d like to hear a VALID well thought out reason as to WHY “hit me hard and soft” is aoty over “cowboy carter”.

(i’d like to note that “daughter” and “alligator tears” are my favorite from cowboy carter and “wildflower” and “blue” are my favorite from hit me hard and soft)

really hope all those those who thought trump was the best option for cheap eggs learned what a tariff really is and like the taste of scrambled cardboard and card stock toast. because this man was and still is the farthest thing from good for the economy.

RFKjr really got up there and said BLACKS don’t need vaccines… he is sitting up there perpetuating very harmful narratives about black people that are rooted in SLAVERY.

it’s already overly difficult to get black people to go to the doctor and dentist for simple routine checkups let alone getting a black person to get vaccinated and seek medical help when they need hit. and when black people do seek medical help they are treated without the same level of care because it’s been rooted in medicine for so long that black people can tolerate more than the average white person.

these personal attacks on the black community are harmful and inhumane. and are continually creating a very negative never ending cycle that is going to push black americans away from healthcare. creating an unhealthy community they eventually cannot fend for ourselves.

not too sure if i want to make a “series” about things on my mind/ small almost subtopics from different lectures or topics that have crossed my mind.

i think it’s very interesting that in today’s society things are moving a lot quicker than what they used to. especially the development of people from child to adult. in adolescence psychology we’re talking about puberty, and while yes this is a different experience for all. down to when the age you start puberty,how much you develop and how long puberty lasts. but two things that stuck out to me is the puberty in children is starting a lot younger than what it decades ago. as well as the fact that specifically black girls mature faster than latina girls who mature faster than white girls. (in the united states)

with that being said i think this information in a very broad sense speaks to american culture as a whole (in the context of environment for children). i was not surprised to find out that black girls mature the fastest when considering the history of how black girls have been treated in american culture. expected to take on greater roles then what little black girls are ready for because they are not seen a children. they are seen as adults even going back to slavery. and latina girls following suit, while little white girls are allowed to be children. not saying they do not face adversity historically that would call for white girls to grow up and “mature” faster but i don’t believe it be to the same extent as black and latina girls. (obviously considering the information i shared)

again these are just some thoughts on a small topic that was brought up in my lecture and what i was left thinking about post class.

The World as I Know it Now; blog post three.

It’s been a few days since I updated this and... There’s quite a bit to talk about now. I’m going to preface this by saying that I am turning this into a weekly blog, it's much easier to just compile information and post every Thursday or Friday. I apologize for not announcing this sooner, I figured it would be best to do it in the blog post. I have an almost two-page doc of just one sentence topics, so this is going to be a long one. I will be shortening it where I can, but I can make no promises about how successful I will actually be. Thank you for your patience. Onto the part y'all are actually here for:

Starting out, ICE raids are getting worse, more frequent, and they have more places they can raid. Not to mention they keep taking legal people too and they are planning to send people to what is essentially, a very famous Austrian painter from 1933’s favorite type of camp. T. has announced that “dangerous” illegal immigrants will be sent to a holding place in Guantanamo Bay. Sure it’s starting as just criminals, but sending people to a military base where nobody knows what goes down mirrors the seventh step of genocide, preparation, the Montreal Holocaust Museum’s website describes this as “The victims are identified, separated and forced to wear symbols. Deportations, isolation and forcible starvation. Death lists are drawn up.” People are being separated from their families, being deported on military planes, and even being sent to camps on military bases. This ties in with the separation and deportation, and I know some might argue, “But we’re not marking them or forcing them to wear symbols.” My response to that is, shut the fuck up. That is one part of it. Some of our hardest working people are being separated from their families and for what? Only 20.8% of murder case arrests were Hispanic, and only 18.4% of assault arrests were Hispanic. Hispanic people have the lowest arrest rates. And yet they’re considered dangerous? 50.2% of assault and 25.7% of murders end in white arrests. If you want to get rid of danger, get rid of us. Don't get rid of the innocent people just trying to live their American dreams. “Oh, but school shootings-” no. Shut up. That's just more proof that white people are more dangerous because 54.1% percent of shooters were white. That's over HALF. If you want to talk about danger and birthright citizenship then maybe consider leaving yourselves, after all, we all immigrated to this country, we are all immigrants. “Oh, but at least we went through the proceedings!” no we didn’t. We killed the people who were here first, we put them on reserves and said “hey so actually if you leave you’re in massive trouble” and then proceeded to try to get them to conform to the white narrative. It’s disgusting how people can do what we did, but more peacefully, and the government calls them dangerous. It’s even sadder that I'm not even done with this paragraph. In Mississippi they are actively trying to pass a “Bounty Hunter Bill” for people to be able to go after undocumented people. I’ve not done research on this one, yet, in the next update I will likely have more information on it. I’m just worried that if I do research on this I’m gonna decide to become an immigrant in another country, though I mean, I heard they’re pretty nice in canada. ICE can now raid schools, works, places of worship, and MEDICAL FACILITIES. We should not be living in a time where american people, citizen or not, should have to fear getting the help they need just because ICE could be there. Now, you might be wondering, “Hey Anton, how come you said ‘citizen or not’?” well my dear reader, that is because ICE has been going after fully documented people too. These poor people are going to be waiting to prove that they’re legal and may never even get the chance. Earlier this week ICE raided a nightclub without a warrant and arrested several fully documented citizens and even a war veteran for the US military. Arresting people without a warrant is bad enough. Arresting the people you’re not even looking for is still bad. But it is straight up so disgusting that they tried to arrest a veteran. Someone who fought for this country’s freedom, only to nearly lose their own.

Speaking of fighting for the country, T. is removing all trans militants. There are approximately 14,700 troops in the military that are trans. Not a big enough number for you? In a troop there are around 102 people. That’s around 3,675,000 trans people in the US military. That is a HUGE number of people to be removing just for the sake of discrimination. All of this while he is still antagonizing Canada and Greenland. This oompaloompa is going to plunge us into a third world war after removing over 3 MILLION militants. How are we meant to survive as a country when we are missing over 3 million militants? People don't want to step up anymore, and you remove the ones who do, nice one madam president. Your stupidity should be rewarded. And it probably will be, by making America fall when you promised to make it great again.

Every day our nation becomes more and more like the nation a certain Austrian painter wanted. We are being censored more and more by the day. Did you know other countries have been protesting for us? I’d bet not. You wanna know why? Because there is no news coverage on it. They don’t want us to know what is happening. They don’t want us to know that other countries are worried about us, worried about the man who is in charge and putting more Nazis in charge. Nazis started by separating people, deporting people, like they are now. They censored people, like they are now, they promoted fear mongering, they allowed discrimination, and they tried to use laws to validate it. Like. They are. Now. We are becoming a fascist Nazi country. We are becoming worse by the day, and we will only keep getting worse.

T. Has pardoned so many people. He’s pardoning everyone who had a part in the riot on the capital, and he is pardoning a woman who kept fetuses in her refrigerator, and he is trying to deport the bishop who asked him and Vance to show mercy. If that doesn’t just scream “hey do what I want and you won’t be in trouble anymore” I don’t know what does. It is genuinely so disgusting that he thinks that that would work. And it’s even more disgusting that it probably will. He even got RFK Jr. To change his views on vaccines just to get a position of power, this country is going to go to… Probably worse than whatever the bad place in your religion may be. We are in actual trouble now, and it’s terrifying.

My take on this stuff; I’m scared. I’m extremely scared. I don’t know what to do anymore, but I will keep fighting in any way I can, whether that’s just posting these blog posts, or actively protesting. I will do what I need to do and you should too. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Don’t bow down. Don’t let them bring you down.
