the flour massacre is ongoing. it is everyday. it was not an isolated event. it was not even the first time israel shot at and killed palestinians going for aid (they do it whenever they allow aid through). in fact, they did the exact same thing yesterday morning. just because smaller-scale murders go under the radar for lack of shock factor doesn’t mean they’re not happening continuously.

i'm going to talk about this once and never again because what is truly weird is the absolute virtue signaling going on here.

1) tumblr is not my main form of social media. i literally do not open this app for weeks at a time, i do not have notifications on, i do not scroll on my following page, when i open this app i look at my notifs and thats about it.

2) i have been vocal about palestine PRIOR to the events of october 7th... for years i have talked about what's going on there, i have donated esims, i have literally lost multiple friends in real life because of how vocal i've been about palestine

i have been silent about how weird it is to talk about the people NOT posting about palestine INSTEAD of posting about palestine. it is really really odd to make this issue a performative one. the reality is that when you make these posts, that again are not to do with palestine but the lack of posts about palestine, you take away from the issue. this is more than just something you need to post about and it is really disturbing to me to think about how many people are posting because instead of educating people, we are shaming people for not posting.

again, instead of doing this, actually work to educate people. this is not the move, it's the reason most people do not care about issues they are posting about, this is how people begin to spread misinformation, and this will shed a negative light on a movement that NEEDS to be followed.

you guys do not know what i do everyday or have done for years, and i do not feel the need to come on here and be like "look at all the good im doing" so i urge you guys to think about your intentions when making posts like these.

at the end of the day, people are DYING in gaza, and being denied human rights, and you are messaging a fic writer on tumblr because they didn't post.
