The National Museum of Ethiopia was closed for public visits since the outbreak of Covid-19 in Ethiopia. It is reopened for public visit starting from the beginning of March 2021.

National Museum of Ethiopia (የኢትዮጵያ ብሔራዊ ሙዚየም) is most famous for housing the fossilized bones of the 3.2 million years old hominid – LUCY or DINKNESH which was discovered at Hadar in North East part of Ethiopia.
