Well no wonder the merch isn't selling.

What can anyone honestly say about Tex and Bee as a couple?

They're there, I guess.

Bee is kinda fun but all Tex does in the the episode where they're together is just give her weird looks when she says shit around him that realistically he's likely already heard. They don't do anything couple-y they literally just stand next to each other.

I cannot imagine people as a couple if they have no chemistry as friends, or fuck, even enemies. I can believe enemies to lovers if they're like, foils or have great banter or something.

Literally all you had to do for the bare fucking minimum of people who see a canon couple and ship them was make Tex and Bee like, I don't know? Cute together? One sweet smile or a "that's so you" or something. They really don't have anything going for them, I don't even know why Viv bothers approving merch of them.

You know it's weird how they barely made any merch with Verosika and Vortex together despite Tex being Verosika's personal hellhound instead he's paired up with Bee just for the sake of shippers who barely buy merch of them together.

Honestly, it’s for the best that there is barely any merch of Verosika and Tex. Realistically who would buy it? People barely buy merchandise of Tex and Bee.

I don't hate the idea of Mayberry and Martha together, that could be really interesting to me, but I definitely think just throwing them in the background was a strange way to go about putting them together. And then to sell all this merch of them like they're prominent characters, it's kinda obvious to me they just wanted to sell more sapphic merch that wasn't Chaggie (the only sapphic couple in either show until these two were revealed).

If it were me I'd have focused an episode on them being rude before they start to get along, or at least show them as a hatemance type deal. Do this either in Hazbin Hotel or Helluva Boss.

As for Mayberry suddenly being a lesbian, I mean, idk how to feel about it man. She was married to a man and everything, but also I know comphet is a thing. She could easily have been a lesbian in a more conservative environment who convinced herself she needed to get married to a man. I just don't think that was the initial intention. I think it's noticeable that before there were only two lesbians in two shows, and so then all the sudden these characters are being announced as lesbians after people point it out.

I'm all for more lesbians I'm just, not a fan of these two as they stand in canon. I'd gladly take a crack at making it work though.

Does anyone else thinks that Vaggie and Lute are essentially the same character? They are both angels who are fighters, have a very "no-noscence" way of acting, seem to be perpetually pissed off/grumpy, are extremely loyal to someone with a higher rank than them...and don't have much more personality aside of that.

Nah, I think the same way. Lute and Vaggie are similar with a different font and bootlick different people. If Vivziepop and the writers did that on purpose it could lead to a cool arc. Lute stuck in her black and white methods while Vaggie found her true calling and identity.

Okay, uh, strap in, this ones a doozy. This is a redraw of this:

As well as a rewrite of this concept.

See, I like the idea of the hotel gang at a fancy dinner party, with Charlie and her ex, and Vaggie feeling jealous. However, this concept that Viv presents... well, it's personally one of my biggest pet peeves.

I personally hate two tropes that are very prominent in this drawing. One, Evil/Rude ex, and two, the angry jealous partner. Now, don't get me wrong, I love a little jealousy, I like tension. But, it doesn't work if there is no understandable way that Vaggie could be jealous here. She's very good at reading a room, she'd immedietly see Charlie's face and know she's unhappy.

So, instead, my rewrite of this plot goes as follows:

After the Sins meeting where Charlie fails at convincing the Sins to step in and stop the extremination, Charlie decides to bring the hotel guests along to the annual party Beelzebub throws for the Sins and their families every year. She wants to show the Sins how likeable her hotel guests can be, but quickly gets distracted.

See, Charlie runs into her ex boyfriend Sev, who she hadn't seen since the breakup. She's shocked, but estatic to see that he's still on friendly terms with her, and the two attempt to catch up.

Mimzy ends up teasing Vaggie about Charlie getting back with her ex, and when Vaggie sees how well they're getting along, she begins to feel insecure about herself and their relationship.

Angel, seeing her dilemea, does his best to cheer her up in a cute little scene between the two, before in comes Sev's sister, Levvy, who reveals Sev is only hanging out with Charlie because Leviathan wants the two to get back together, to further secure her own power.

Levvy, Vaggie, and Angel confront Sev in front of Charlie, who reveals that while that was initially his intention when first talking to Charlie, under the pressure of his grandmother, he genuinely missed Charlie's company and would like to stay friends. Charlie agrees, and everything ends happily ever after yayyyy.

A side plot would be most of the characters either failing to bond with the sins, bonding with the sins, or trying to keep Niffty from hitting on Satan.

Lucifer Morningstar has been such a pain to design it's actually insane. See, Initially I kinda liked his canon design. His hat was stupid and his pants are ugly but I though, "just a few fixes and he's good to go." And then I realized he didn't look anything like a King of Hell, nor did the design I did, (middle), work for the rewrite we were doing. So it was back to the drawing board.

Long story short, I yassified him. (Note, I did forget his tail)

For our rewrite, Lucifer Morningstar, while depressed, has a massive ego and far too much pride to leave the house looking anything less than royal. He looks incredibly demonic, and usually sports a glare or cold expression of some sort while around sinners. Around Charlie, he's usually much sweeter and happier, but gets upset whenever Charlie mentions her business or ideas to help sinners. I wanted to properly balance "Scary Angelic King of Hell" with "Goofy guy look at him go".

Lucifer Morningstar is so interesting to me as a character, so I wanted to give him a better design than just "ringleader".

Messing around with an Eve concept.

I was really struggling with the placement of her headwings, before I was suddenly struck with inspiration thanks to Infinity Nikki's newest update.

Her look is heavily nun inspired, more than any other character, it just felt right for her character, because she's still trying to make up for her original "sin" to this day. That's also where the apple design comes in. The apple is sour because for her, she was promised a gift from Lucifer and Lilith and instead recieved a curse for all of humantity.

Charlie Morningstar my beloved She is so fun to draw, but, I wanted to try and figure out various outfits and designs she had through all her ages. These are not all of them, I still have to draw even more, main character problems lol I also have to decide how many snakes she has and just, stick to that number, oops.

Playing around with the Carmine's and making them more ballet inspired when it comes to their designs.

Definietly gonna have to redo Camilla Carmine, because I don't like her outfit at all amd frankly I'd prefer if we all just ignored her here.

Odette was pretty fun, I like the combo of her leotard and her lab coat, with the feathers on the shoulders.

Clara was pretty fun, although I did break my only design rule for her, which I'm still iffy on. That of course being the "every sinner needs at least a hint of pride red somehwere in their design." Still, she's very cute and very pretty and I love her energy in this piece.

Frankly I think I'll end up going over all three designs again relatively soon.

Wanted to work on the Von Eldritch family and give them proper colors and such. Like I said before, most of their designs irked me, except Helsa, who I actually liked her vibes but despised her name. They are officially the family of Leviathan, as well as I guess Chthulu? Or some other, vague elricth abombination that is obviously chthulu inspired lol.

Cynthia is where the Von Eldritch name came from, as, well, Leviathan doesn't have a last name. For her design, I really liked the idea of the tentacle hair, as well as putting a mouth on top of her head, kind like Zoe from Monster Prom. I wanted her to loom elegant, but be very visually distinct from Lilith. The Von Eldritch's are rich, but they are not royalty like the Morningstars, so I wanted their outfits to reflect that.

For the dad (Who's placement name is Neviathan because wtf else do I call him), he was produced asexually by Leviathan, so he's kinda just, a male copy of her lol. I wanted him to look like someone from old money, with a more average man build, but I really liked the small details like his small mustache. I also took away the tophat because I hated it.

For Sev, I completely changed him. His design is stupid and I hated it so I wiped it all out and started from scratch. So! Since I was keeping most of the original vibes of "helsa", i wanted Sev to look more like his dad. The first thing I did was try to zero in on his vibes. Because he is Charlie's ex, I decided to work on making him seem young and cool. I kinda hate the "oh ew that's my ex lol they suck so bad I turned to women" trope, so my goal was to make him friendly, chill, and fashionable, and that the breakup was a mutual thing both agreed was for the best.

Now, for my baby, Levvy. She gives off such Heather Chandler energy, and I loved that for her. I am a sucker for a rich bitch mean girl. So, I kept a lot of her aspects, such as the big hair, and the obnoxious pink and green color pallete. I plan to go over her outfit again and maybe lean more gyaru or y2k with it, but her actual base design is very cute and I'm very happy about it.

Sera and Emily design concepts

Together, I wanted the two of them to look like siblings. So, I gave them the same skintone, and base hair color, as well as the same eye colors, just different shapes.

For Sera, I wanted her to look warm, regal, and inviting, while having sharp aspects in her design. I decided to switch her dress to a more suit like design as well, just felt right when I drew her.

As for Emily, I wanted her to look very bouncy and round, and a lot less formal. I chopped her hair off to give her a cute pixie cut, and just tried to make her look adventurous and sweet.
