really funny that there's a few people on my self shipping angst post that think i'm poking fun at people who like self shipping angst. brother i almost died in the same way as his ex because i knew it'd give him 7 mental breakdowns

You know, I was thinking, recently, about how insane Godot was with his coffee. Because the guy was poisoned with his own cup, so you'd think he'd have some sort of trauma, right ? But no, he keeps chugging unbelievable amounts of the thing to the point that he limits himself to 17 cups per trial.

But then, I realised : he probably drinks so much for the exact opposite reason. Because he woke up to the smell of a doctor's cup of coffee. Maybe he's so afraid of falling asleep and this time, not waking up, that he drinks so much coffee as to always have the smell filling his nostrils, refusing to let his guard down in case this time, there's no second chance.

See a lot of imagines involving physical touch and while I do think they're sweet, I wanted to make some for people uncomfortable or with f/os that are uncomfortable with physical touch, or at the very least show affection in smaller ways.

So here's a bunch of imagines that don't involve physical touch!

-Imagine your f/o writing you letters and leaving them around for you to find because they can't find the words to tell you how much they feel when they're around you. They get so overwhelmed by you that all they can hope to do is write the feelings down and wait.

-Imagine you and your f/o sharing a snack. Something you like that they've never tried before. You pour it into a bowl or put them onto a plate and snack on it while watching a movie.

Maybe they like it and eat most of them. Maybe they don't and try to act like they do for your sake. Maybe they take one bite, gag on it, and dramatically take big sips of water throughout the movie to further establish that they didn't like it.

-Imagine you and your f/o wearing matching outfits! Either something comfy and cozy like pajamas or something formal and elegant!

-Imagine you and your f/o see a scary movie and the braver one instinctively puts a hand and/or popcorn bucket in front of the face of the more scared one.

-Or, on the other hand, imagine you and your f/o going to see a rom com, to which the rom com hater of the relationship sleeps through most of it. Then attempts to act like they were not asleep by giving the worst plot synopsis of all time.

Finally:

-Imagine you and your f/o staying close by each other at all times, even if you rarely ever hug or kiss. That's okay. That's what you two are comfortable with. That doesn't make you less in love. That doesn't make you two any less of a couple.

If anything, it shows how much you two love each other. You care for the other one and their boundaries. That's beautiful.

Don't feel like being uncomfortable with physical touch, whether it's you or your f/o, makes your ship any less valid.

Because guess what?

You two are canon as HELL.

being an aro-spec self shipper has been rather funny because like. yeah i am self shipping cause hes beautiful and i want to kiss him nasty style, but im also more compelled by our dynamic. im treating this a little bit like actual shipping as if it didnt involve me. i think if you put us in a house together, we would form a very compelling and interesting narrative! i could foil and compliment his personality so well he gets another story arc. yknow? which is undoubtedly hysterically very aro-spec of me
