frozen strawberries

my gaze finds a tree to stare through as

your knee is grasped by my grip,

feeling hot,

nervous,

scared.

i care, don't you see? let me ground you,

i can see you, right here.

bruised knuckles, held out in front of you

you're frost bitten, stunned by it all

aside from a quivering chin.

how could i take it away?

leading with selfishness, i thought,

"i want... want... want..."

i just want to put her back together.

pick her up, take her in

pull those frozen strawberries,

from my freezer,

rest them on her battered hands

'til she can feel the world again.

condensing the frost,

condensing her thoughts,

don't let her forget

how she is just as sweet

as the jam we could make with our fists.

holding your hands in it

wouldn't it feel better?

maybe i can't see.

2017 monthly desktop wallpapers

A while ago I saw a few studyblrs using their computer backgrounds as a to-do list and calendar, so this inspired me to make my own version. After such positive feedback from my Instagram followers I have decided to share them with you! Each month is available to download as a JPEG file from the link below.
