Futuristic UV Lamp – The Latest News on UV Lamp
A group of researchers situated in Japan has recently developed a lamp which gives off high energy UV – ultraviolet light at the shortest wavelengths of 140 to 220 nanometers. The light of that energy can propagate in a vacuum and is immediately absorbed by oxygen in the atmosphere. This functionality makes it very useful in various industrial applications like sterilizing medical devices and cleaning semiconductor substrates as when the UV Light comes in contact with oxygen-containing molecules, it quickly generates extremely reactive oxygen radicals that can destroy microbes contaminating the surface.
This new lamp is integrated with solid-state phosphor created from a thin film of KMgF3, is very easy to make, evades using toxic gasses and does not need costly rare earth elements. The UV lamp is an exceptional light source with regards to its size, life span, stability and heat conduction. It is an ideal alternate source of light to low pressure excimer lamps, deuterium lamps and mercury lamps.
The Green Book http://www.thegreenbook.com/ works to provide faster sourcing services of various products including UV Lamp and other related light source. It is usually employed on manufacturing where control of machines in an assembly line is needed. This innovative computer control system allows you to monitor and control numbers of digital and analog input and output devices with its temperature, resistance to impact and vibration, and immunity to electrical noise. It features its non-volatile memory wherein the information is stored and can be retrieved after experiencing an emergency computer shutdown.
Almost all production line as well as machine process benefits from this kind of computer control system. It can collect and communicate vital information while you are changing and replicating the operation or process. Also, the operator can mix and match its input and output devices depending on the type of application required.
Getting to know PLC parts and its functions
PLC consists of three parts including the CPU, its input and output devices. The CPU serves as brain of the PLC featuring the internal program which tells the input devices what to do and how to perform the instructions and program given.
The following are some of the functions that the PLC performs:
Execute the program instructed by the program stored in a non-volatile memory
Communication with other devices including the network, i/o devices, and other programming devices.
Do housekeeping activities such as the internal diagnostics and the communication itself.
Step by Step PLC Operation
Input Scan – detects the state of the input devices connected to the PLC
Program Scan – executes the program and its logic
Output Scan – all output devices connected to the PLC are energized and de energized

Be energized with Power Supplies
Also known as electrical power converters, a power supply is a kind of electrical device that supplies energy to an electrical load. It is available to use for diverse applications wherein some are stand alone only and discrete while others are constructed to larger devices together with its load.
A power supply has an input where it receives the energy to be supplied to the load. A wide range of energy sources can be used including fuel cells, batteries, and other electromechanical systems such as solar power, alternators, and generators.
There are various types of power supplies having their own functionalities.
DC Power Supply
This is a type of power supply which delivers voltage to a load with fixed polarity. Its energy can be generated from either DC source or an AC source
AC Power Supply
This power supply usually gets its energy from the main supply while lowering it based on the required voltage.
Switched Mode Power Supply
With the switched mode power supply, the energy coming from the AC mains is rectified directly, filtered, and produces DC voltage. It keeps the voltage constant since the power supply consists of a feedback controller which monitors the current drawn by the load.
Programmable Power Supply
It is a power supply which does remote controlling on its operation using a digital interface or analog input. It can control various parameters such as current, voltage and frequency and is suitable in automated equipment testing, semiconductor fabrication, and crystal growth monitoring.
Uninterruptible Power Supply
It takes power from the AC mains while charging its storage battery simultaneously. This battery instantly takes over if you experience some power interruption therefore giving you the time to shutdown your system ongoing.
High Voltage Power Supply
An output of hundreds or thousands volts can be produced using this type of power supply.
Power Supplies are very essential in almost all industries. If you are planning to have your own, Trade Enquiry Service is here to assist you. Getting to know the Basic Engine Parts and its Functions
Imagine an automobile without its engine parts. Can we still call it as a vehicle or an automobile? An engine is a machine that converts energy into useful mechanical motion such as the internal combustion engine commonly used in cars. Its parts play a big role in the whole running process. Car engines has cylinder which serves as the core. This cylinder has piston that moves up and down inside. It is usually arranged in different configurations such as inline, V, or flat wherein these have its own advantages in terms of smoothness and shape characteristics.
The following are the basic parts of an engine that you should be familiar with.
Spark plug – ignites the air/fuel mixture by supplying the spark so that the combustion will take place.
Valves – it includes the intake and exhaust valve wherein it opens to allows in the fuel and air while to allows out the exhaust.
Piston – metal piece cylindrical in shape which moves up and down inside the cylinder.
Piston Rings – prevents the leakage of fuel/air mixture into the sump during the combustion and compression. It also prevents the oil for the possible burn and lost if it leaks into the combustion area.
Connecting rod – used to connect the piston into the crankshaft.
Crankshaft – used to turn the piston in an up and down motion
Sump – surrounds the crankshaft wherein it contains some amount of oil collected from the bottom of the sump.
Knowing these basic parts can be a good start in the modification and repairing your own engine. Various engine parts can be found at companies and manufacturers listed at The Green Book of Singapore. This directory features its Trade Enquiry Service platform which accommodates all your enquiries regarding this engine parts and other related classifications. Know all the information or specification about your electric motor to find out the amount of power leads that it possesses.
Put away the plastic wire connectors and select the ohm setting into the ohmmeter.
Touch one lead to the case of the motor to test each motor lead. If the recitation of any ohms is observed and you have a direct short in the motor windings, it means that the motor is bad.
Lastly, take of the capacitor from its housing and switch the volt setting into the volt ohm meter. Tap the exposed leads of the capacitor, the capacitor still holds a charge if you notice any voltage. Discharge the capacitor by holding the meter leads to the capacitor. Do it until it carries a zero voltage.
Following these steps can help you troubleshoot your electric motor on your own but if the problem turns out to be severe, then there are companies out there available with electric motor repair services as well as the electric motor itself.
