Hello everyone, I have another campaign to share.

Maria and her family have been displaced from their home and are now suffering under the Israeli siege on Ghazza. They've lost all sources of income after Maria's father's perfume business was completely bombed and destroyed. Maria is also unable to continue her education at the College of Pharmacy due to the siege.

They live without basic resources every day and are surrounded by threats of disease and further displacement. Maria's mother is also unable to receive treatment for her cartilage condition under these circumstances. Despite her horrible situation, Maria is still determined to survive and continue her education as a pharmacy student.

In order to survive and rebuild, Maria and her family are trying to raise $30,000 CAD. So far, they've raised only $6,091, with their last donation being 2 hours ago.

Maria’s family, once settled in northern Gaza, has faced unimaginable hardship since the outbreak of conflict on October 13. At 21, Maria is a pharmacy student, dedicated to her studies despite the dire circumstances. The family of six was forcibly displaced, moving south multiple times as they endured relentless bombing, destruction, and displacement.

The war has ravaged their lives profoundly. Their home was destroyed, and Maria's father, who owned a perfume business, lost everything—his shops and warehouses burned to the ground. The family’s struggle is compounded by starvation, diseases, and the constant interruption of essential services like electricity and fuel. The family’s situation is further exacerbated by the loss of their livelihoods and the death of numerous relatives.

Currently, they live in a tent, struggling to rebuild both their home and their means of support. Despite these overwhelming challenges, Maria remains resolute in her pursuit of education and her determination to help her family recover from the devastation they have endured.

Now that I've got your attention (people stop scrolling for a poll), I am making this post on behalf of Nader @abdalsalam1990, as I have a large following which could help it get traction. This campaign has been vetted! (#4 on the list)

Nader is 17 years old and his family is in Gaza facing dire circumstances. Food is scarce, prices are high, and there are shortages in water. They, like countless others suffering during this war, have already had to relocate many times, and their home is destroyed. They do not have enough money to safely relocate right now, or a stable source of income, as places of work have been destroyed.

Any amount of money can help Nader and his family escape this destruction.

This campaign currently has (as of the time I write this post) €11,540 out of €50,000 raised, with 627 donations. I have donated myself and I know a lot of my followers can afford to donate at least something. It's not a hard donation process, so I hope you take a moment of your day to show some support.

Well, if you care about disabled rights, you should be caring about the rights of the disabled people in Ghazzah right now. Muhammad, only 4 years old, is one of those people.

Muhammad is the son of Noor, and he is one of 2 siblings. He was born with a condition that causes his muscles to be very weak and makes it difficult for him to move.

In order to to treat his condition, Muhammad received regular physical therapy sessions, which really improved his quality of life and health.

However, when the siege on Ghazzah began, Muhammad was no longer able to receive the medical treatment that he desperately needs. He is now displaced with his family, living in unbearable conditions without basic resources, and his health has been rapidly deteriorating

This treatment is essential to Muhammads survival, and without it his life is in grave danger.

In order to help Muhammad continue his treatment and evacuate Ghazzah, Noor is trying to raise £80,000. So far, she's only raised £4,367, and her last donation was 4 hours ago.

i know it may seem miniscule, but i genuinely can't stop thinking about how students in gaza were preparing for school around this time last year. and it's not just gazan children i'm referring to. it's little kids who were about to have their first ever day of school. it's university students in their last year of college. it's grad students who've been working so hard in their field, who just had years of labor and effort torn away just like that. we all have the luxury of continuing on, of starting this new chapter in our lives, while theirs seem to be on permanent arrest. it's just not fair. it's heartbreaking

Hello! I'm reaching out to you because of the urgent help my friend, @/siraj2024 from the Gaza Strip needs! Siraj is a devoted father and husband, a journalist working tirelessly to provide updates about the situation on the ground. Before the genocide started, he had just finished building a house for himself and his family. Because of the ongoing aggression, his home have been destroyed. Siraj, his wife and children were forcibly displaced multiple times.

Even after so many times they had to change their location, the family still isn't safe. As the occupation's forces are approaching closer, they will need to relocate yet AGAIN. TO BE ABLE TO DO THAT, SIRAJ NEEDS TO RAISE $45,000 CAD BY TOMMOROW. His campaign is currently still below $40,000 CAD.

Honestly as a blind person I’m so tired of seeing fictional blind characters who don’t use white canes or other guides. “They have special powers so they know what’s around them” or “they’re confident enough to not need a guide” are common tropes, and I’m tired.

Are people scared that using a white cane will make their blind character seem weak? They can’t use a cane because they’re so special that they already know what’s around them, and other blind people who use guides are inferior because they’re not special?

I’m tired. Give your blind characters white canes and other guides. Let them hold onto their friends, let them have guide dogs. Don’t make white cane users feel ostracized for not being “strong enough” to go without.

Another thing that pisses me off is when a sighted character comes up with the fantasy equivalent of braille and teaches it to the blind character. Braille was invented by Louis Braille, a blind man, in 1824. The blind character should be the one coming up with it.
