I think the really sweet thing about Jon and Damien being best friends before they actually get together is the fact that I don't think they'd fall into that awkward transition between friendship to boyfriends. They'd get together and it would just feel natural almost like they already were official, hell everyone around them already thought so.

Because all the elements that made their friendship is still there. The bickering, the bluntness, the comfortability, the familiarity, the teasing, the openness, the trust.

They already know almost all of each other's likes and dislikes, they've been pretty upfront with each other since they were kids so they already know what to expect from each other and they're very comfortable sharing their needs and wants with each other. None of that has/ever will change just because they're officially together now.

The only thing that is different is the fact that they now get to make out with each other to their hearts content.
