my fiance left town for work this morning, meaning i have been living unsupervised for less than 24 hours and i have already (accidentally) locked one of the cats in the closet for almost half an hour
#talkin#hes fine but he was very upset with me#usually hes my velcro boy but he was avoiding me for most of the night afterwards#hes sleeping on the couch next to me now but man that made me sad#i did give him treats when i let him out but still... my poor baby#hes a tuxedo so i didnt see him in there when i was hanging up some shirts and tryin to quickly close the door so the other cat didnt get in#so all in all my first night alone in 4+ years is not going well

slowly but surely the den is coming together
#talkin#i recently aquired a whole room for all my stuff#and all i had to do in exchange was surrender the living room to all the studio gear#which honestly is fine there was already one band having practices here that needed more space#and now after a series of events we're letting another band use our place to practice since they lost their space#ive got more tapestries and some cushion covers on the way for my room so itll look better (?) soon#im very happy to have my own little room for all my vinyl and my computer#and obviously to be able to help our buddies with the whole practice space thing#especially since theyre super cool and exclusively commission me for all their logo and merch needs

Killing it with my reading list so far this year
#talkin#books#anything under 400/500 pages only tales me about 2 days max to read#my goal is 20 but since ive already read more actual books (not comics) than last year im still happy even if i stopped here#i still need to finish house of leaves. i started it late last fall but got distracted#ive still got 20 or so books i havent read/finished yet on my shelf but theyre not what i wanna read so#and yet itll be back to the bookstore tomorrow even though i told the gal who works there i wouldnt be back for at least a month#(its been 6 days)#if anyone has any queer horror recs send them my way. the more fucked up the better
