hey quick question why did no one ever tell me how fucking insane M*A*S*H is?? their commanding officer is a horse girl. the secretary has psychic powers. this guy walks around a 1950s military outpost in drag and everyone’s just like hey nice dress. the protagonist who is supposed to be the best surgeon in the entire korean war spends every episode strutting around drunk in a hawaiian shirt making homoerotic wisecracks and asking the nurses to step on him like some sort of unhinged bisexual jimmy buffet. guys what the hell is going on in this army doctor show
#I lowkey love M*A*S*H#like I don't actively go into my living room and sit down to watch it but if there's a marathon of it active I will put it on for backgroun#entertainment and ultimately end up actively focusing on it instead of whatever the previous primary task was#imo it's one of the most genuine tv shows that has ever existed in that you can tell that the writers and the cast were really invested in#the story they were telling and with media these days that's harder to find b/c if it isn't immediately a hit the execs at the top of all#the companies just trash the entire project so there's obvious pressure on the writers and crew to hit audience viewpoints regardless of#what that means for character or plot development thus less genuine storytelling and more /well the current trend is X so now everyone is Y

I. fucking. hate. coding.
more than how my job feels like a joke because my boss is a hack, more than how the weather in florida can be counted on to be absolute shit on the days where you NEED to get things done, more than how it feels like my health is finding new ways to go to hell month over month, and more than how I *~*somehow*~* made about 6 grand less in 2023 than 2022 even though I took less time off and supposedly got a raise I fucking despise this coding class and the content within it.
#only one week left of this course only one week#and then I have a Geology Lab that I'm actually excited to take#the only good thing about this class is the teacher b/c I can tell that they are passionate about it#and they are invested in the students actually learning and retaining the material b/c they are so prompt and helpful about providing#support material but hooooooly shit I am never taking a coding class again#happy for the people that find joy in it and more grateful that they exist so I don't have to do their sort of work myself

so it turns out the one thing I can hate more passionately than my job is trying to learn coding!
