Day 3 of Protein Sparing Modified Fast (PSMF). Well today was not any easier. Fighting off the urge to eat and was really craving sweets and caffeine. I went all day with a head ache and overall just felt drained. I still put in the work though and went to the gym and also did cardio and walking outside of being in the gym. I’m still hoping to see results soon though. The scale keeps saying I’m losing weight but my body does not show it. Idk guess I’m hard on myself. Oh and sleep is getting worse. I did not get to sleep till like 1am then had a horrible time getting comfortable and staying asleep My food intake for the day was: 710 Calories Eaten 17g Fat 19g carbs 50g Protein 2,600mg Sodium Exercise today I mixed things up. I did some walking, dancing, went to the gym and lifted weights plus cardio and tried High Intensity Training but failed miserably and could not keep up. Overall I burned 1920 Calories. That left me in a calorie deficit of 1,200 Calories. Day two of Protein Sparing Modified Fast (PSMF). Strait up I feel like crap. I’m taking all my vitamins and electrolytes supplements but hopefully it gets better. So today my food intake lead to: 685 calories eaten 10g fat 30g carbs 117g of protein 1,687 mg of sodium Between two times in the gym and a 2 mile walk out side in 35 mins I burned 2,000 calories today That’s leaving me with 1315 calorie deficit. So I am starting out at 204 lbs today with this new diet. It’s a rough day. I have been physical active all day. I feel like I’m starving and I’m tired as hell. The thought of giving up already has hit me hard till I saw a post from someone who is also doing the same diet and it gives me the urge to keep pushing on to lose the 30lbs I need to lose. Good news I passed my written and physical agility test with the wake county sheriffs department today and on to the background check. I will be starting a 7 day (Protein Sparing Modified Fast”PMSF”) on Wednesday. After that I will reevaluate how these 7 days go and adjust what I need to including the Length at which I am on the diet. Other factors in this will be the amount of weight I lose in 7 days while on this diet, My weight loss goals, My fitness goals and how I feel lifting heavy twice a day. GOALS: a) 200lbs to 175lbs. 25lbs drop I need in weight b) Body fat % down into single digits PMSF DIET - No more then 800 calories a day - No more then 30 carbs a day - 150+ grams of protein a day - No more then 15g of fat a day - Drink a gallon & a half of water a day * I will also be taking the following > Men’s multivitamin > Vitamin B > Vitamin D > Calcium Supplement > Electrolytes Supplement > Sodium Supplement > Potassium Supplement I am excited to get this started and to see the change! Anxiety And In Need Of Help
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding" Proverbs 3:5 ESV
I was sitting around today thinking about everything going on in the world after I ran across a Facebook post with someone saying there anxiety was getting the best of them. I know with Covid-19 and everything else happing that life has become stressful in many ways. I wanted to sit down and look at what does the bible tell us about anxiety and being anxious. I wanted to discuss what God has to say and how to better are own life's in the glory of are lords name. As I will not be discussing the whole topic in full tonight this will start off a series on anxiety.
What is your story with anxiety? Does it have to do with Covid-19? Does it have to do with poor health, difficult relationships, unemployment, poverty and disadvantage, loneliness, work stress, and exposure to violence, trauma, and conflict? Traditional sources of anxiety are on the rise. These include loneliness; relationship factors such as divorce; violence and abuse including childhood abuse and neglect; increased working hours and more stressful work procedures; and a general sense of lack of control over our own destinies – especially among our youngsters who are introduced to the possibility of failure earlier and earlier in their lives as a result of increased systematic educational testing. What ever your facing with anxiety you need to know that if you have accepted Jesus Christ into your life that the spirt who raised Jesus from his tomb and rolled away the stone is the same spirit within each of you. So we need to stop putting all are trust into worldly things to help us cope but run to the presence of God.
Lets look at Phillippians 4:6-7 NET: "Do not be Anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your request to God. And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." Wow, what a powerful statement. To me God is saying: Hey son, You don't have to be anxious. I'm always here for you. own your own you are hopeless, but in my presence you will have peace you have never felt before. Here's the thing we will never truly be rid of anxiety. It is a ongoing process in everyday life minute to minute, but we will always have the access to Gods presence and the peace that comes from his love for us.
In the next few blogs we will dig deeper into anxiety and Gods help for us. As there is so much in the word to help us through are time of need. I leave you with this. Bring everything good or bad to our Father in Heaven in prayer at all times.
2 Thessalonians 3:16 "Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with you all."
*If you are struggling with anxiety or depression, I urge you to seek the help you need. Seeking help does not make you weak, but makes you stronger on the other side. In no way are by blogs telling anyone to avoid medical help when needed but are up for encouragement in a time of need.

Slowly seeing results. Starting to look so much different compared to a week ago. It does get challenging fighting the temptation to not eat health and at times going to the gym even when I don’t want to move but I push through and the results always impress me. Every day in the gym gives me the will power and encouragement to come back the next day. I’m on a whole new path in my life with God beside me. With studying and going deeper into the word I have come closer to God then I have ever felt. I becoming a new version of me! A better version!
