I know it was a bit, but after finding out that the Augefort by laws include rules that are to do with Elmville, I actually think non-students should get to vote for the student body president.

Just went to give my dog her meds and noticed they'd been knocked over by the bird and decided she could skip a dose.
A piwakawaka (fantail bird) came into the house today and no matter how white you are, everyone knows that fantails coming inside are a bad omen and associated with death.
So, I googled why.
It turns out Maui tried to ENTER A GODDESS OF DEATH'S VAGINA WHILE SHE WAS SLEEPING, but got caught because she was awoken by the piwakawaka's laughter.
What I conclude from this story is that piwakawaka are bad luck if you're Maui, but good luck if you're Hui-nui-te-po and shall be embracing my goth phase for the next few days.

Another AO3 thing I’m curious about, how do yall decide if something is good enough to read? Usually I follow a rule of 1 kudos for every 10 hits. One because it’s easy math and two it’s yet to fail me. Thoughts? Do you just go for it and pray it’s good?

Fabian being so upset about the octuplets is hilarious because canonically he already has a tonne of half-siblings (Bill Seacaster is not a cautious man who admits to fucking his way across the seas). Though I guess he was upset at the thought of Gorgug being his half-brother so he might be okay at a distance.
okay but i NEED fabian doing a full 180 once the baby is born and just being like. I Have To Be The Greatest Big Brother Ever

On the one hand, fuck Kipperlilly for killing Buddy. On the other hand, I am now 110% on her side after hearing Augefort say “anyone who tried hard instead of doing something stupid is an idiot. The Rat Grinders may be evil, but this school is arguably worse. It simultaneously punishes anyone not able to meet its standards, but also punishes anyone who does meet those standards. The moral of this season is:Arthur Augefort should NOT be running a school.

The four stages of becoming a birder:
🪹Nestling Phase: You start with a casual interest, peeking out of your cozy comfort zone to notice the birds around you.
🐤Fledgling Feats: You spread your wings, equipped with binoculars and guidebooks, ready to explore new habitats and spot diverse species.
🐦‍⬛Perching Proficiency: Your skills sharpen as you learn to identify birds by their calls, habits, and plumage, and feel a sense of accomplishment with each new sighting.
🦅Masterful Migration: Finally, you soar confidently, traversing landscapes near and far, sharing your passion with others. In the end, the true joy of birding lies in the journey itself—every chirp, flutter, and waddle along the way.
Happy National Go Birding Day!
