“‘Ey, Roman, right?” Johnny inquired, holding a hand out, “Name’s Johnny. Probably heard about me from our mutual Boss. Been achin’ t’ meet my ‘replacement’ for awhile now.”

Replacement was a strong word and Johnny knew that. Still, it was all in good fun. For now, at least. He’d apparently been gone longer than he thought and the Saints picked up new faces without him. It was rather odd, honestly. After being in the gang longer than it’s current leader, he was the one that ended up feeling like a spring chick now. He could count the people he knew on a single hand.

“So, how long ya been with th’ Saints? Hopefully long enough that Boss doesn’t give ya a headache 24/7 anymore.”

Like that was a thing. Boss always gave people headaches.

“Ho-ly. Shit. Look who finally decided to show up!” Johnny exclaimed, moving at a brisk pace through the crowd with that usual cocky smirk on his face. Damn, it felt like forever since he’d seen Shaundi. Last he’d seen her, he was off to beat up some cocky fuck on a plane. Granted, that was a few months ago now but based off the shit he heard from Boss? It had apparently been longer than that. This place had a funny way of working.

Still, seeing Shaundi was like a breath of fresh air. 

“Hey, what took ya? Boss’ll freak once he knows you’re here, too. Shit, he’ll probably bring out the good wine for once.”

Here one of the elders of the Saints sat, fiddling with a feline as it nipped and swatted at his hands while he just watched the carnage in the Golden Ward through some videos that got uploaded. To say that he felt perhaps a hair displeased with his current position would be an understatement. Saints were in the chaos, of course, one of which being the Boss himself. 

Of course, it made sense that some had to stay behind. If they all went into the Ward, it would just be absolute chaos for the Saints outside of it, as well. Still, he couldn’t help but feel a tad annoyed by his inability to directly help with matters. He had to babysit a cat. 

If anyone but the Boss had asked him to do this, they likely would have been laughed at. Instead, Johnny was far too trusting of the Boss’s decision. Besides, he supposed, someone had to take care of the cat. He doubted that was the only reason he had been told to stay. Having been with the Saints since before even the current leader himself, it could be surmised that he was all too familiar with the underdog scenario the gang once again found themselves in. 

So it also made sense that he be stuck with at least a chunk of the responsibility of handling shit while Boss got to do some of the fun. At least he wasn’t the second-in-command anymore. Meant he didn’t have to deal with the bullshit organization of it unless shit really hit the fan. Gods, he really got the short end of the stick most of the time, huh?

[txt] hey, watch your head. seems like if you go down in there, you’re dead-dead. probs come back after but try to not get capped, eh? damn waste of resources and time.

He flicked the Send button, pausing for a moment as the kitten nipped at his free hand again. Sure, why the hell not? He took a brief clip of the feline attacking his hand from his real phone before sending it to Victor’s personal cell as well. It was a little thing but damn would being stuck in a warzone probably lead to a tad bit of disassociating. Hopefully it would keep the Boss grounded a tad seeing the feline was a-okay and tearing the general’s hand up.

Ah well, shit was wild. He just hoped that things stayed somewhat calm out here so he wouldn’t need to do much besides perhaps a few pep talks to down on their luck Saints. Gat picked the cat up, tilting his head to one side before deciding to go for a walk. Good thing he got one of those tiny harness leashes for the damn thing. Sure, walking a cat was maybe a tad odd but damn if this one wasn’t full of too much energy. Maybe doing this would calm it the fuck down a bit-- ah no it’s just now attacking the cord. Amazing.

“Sure, sure. You’ll owe me for it, though.” He was joking, of course. He didn’t care about babysitting a cat. At least, he thinks that’s the cat. “Hey, you better not come back as some ugly dog.. monster thing or whatever. Your cat might not like that.”

Again, Gat wasn’t the least bit afraid of the Boss making it through. He’d gone through worse.
