Reowned tiltle of Marquis.
Major General of the American revolution; General of the guards of Paris, Lieutenant General of the Central and North army, Commandant of the guards of Paris again.
Writer of the Déclaration des droits de l'homme et du citoyen. In favor of a constitutional monarchy or republic with universal suffrage.

Do you know that Marquis de Lafayette @general-lafayette is here? You should confront him!
What more is there to say to this man whose love of the Republic is restricted to foreign nations where there are no direct consequences for him and his aristocratic privileges?
What more is there say to the criminal who went to the Champ-de-Mars to face a pacific demonstration and soaked his hands with the blood of the patriots, of his own people?
What more is there to say to the coward who deserted his post in the army after standing up for officers who tyrannize and kill their soldiers simply because they dared to claim their well-deserved pay?
Nothing, Citizen. La Fayette represents everything I despise in the Old Regime and the new.

Me too Citizen, very much so. I hope our renewed friendship will set an example for the rest of the Committee to follow.

Oh sorry Antoine, I didn't mean to disturb you when you are obviously in the middle of something, I thought the room was unoccupied. I will come back later.

How does it feel to canonically be friends/good acquaintances with Oscar François Dr Jarjayes (The Rose of Versailles)?
Of course she's not real, but, had she been, she canonically would've liked you and your ideals.
Most importantly, how do you feel knowing that you've been portrayed with a brown wig in Japan and not your iconic periwig?
Thank you diva for your time 💅✨
Pardon me Citizen, my name is not "diva", it's Maximilien.
Well, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the Japanese people appreciate me enough to offer me a place in one of their television productions. I know very little about this country as during my lifetime, it was closed to the rest of the world, and if I recall well, only Dutch ships were allowed to trade with them.
Then, I was even more surprised to learn that France is now the second largest consumer of manga and anime in the world, after Japan. Things have certainly changed!
I don't know what to think of this representation, I feel they have drawn me much too tall with very flattering broad shoulders, and I certainly don't look like that.
Moreover, this “Oscar” reminds me of Citizeness Théroigne de Mérincourt. Is there a similarity in terms of personality?

Would you let the Duplay girls read Candide or do you think it’s too vulgar for such chaste and innocent young girls?
@mlleduplay and her sister are both women of remarkable intelligence and admirable reflective capacity, and I encourage them to read the great philosophers of the last century. Their father is sharing my opinion, and he has the final say on decisions concerning his daughters, unlike what you seem to think.
Candide is a rather crude novel and Voltaire doesn't soften the brutality of events, but we live in a time when violence is part of the banalities of everyday life, and instead of hiding its realities out of modesty, it would be wiser to learn to recognize and guard against it.
We may not live in the best of all worlds, but all citizens should be encouraged to take part in building this project.

Except if your papers are confiscated before.
did you ever end up writing that robespierre x saint just fic
Modern prisons make the inmates work; I have not found the time to put pen to paper; this is a draft I have tucked away: perhaps this weekend I toil away at it more.

I didn't want to interfere, but since both of you persist in behaving like children and my name has been involved…
Having… a far-reaching voice, let's say, isn't necessarily a bad thing, @bonbonrobespierre. The Convention can be an undisciplined place where one almost has to shout to be heard over the discussions. Plus, it's part of your nature. You can hardly be blamed for it.
However, @le-vieux-cordelier is right about one thing: we shouldn't confuse the sacred place where France's future is being shaped with a performance hall. But there are people to whom I could level far greater and harsher reproaches on this point. And yes Fabre d'Églantine, my eyes are on you.
[Robespierre the younger] was called the great howler, the national bellower. Desmoulins said: Ducos' least gesture is an epigram, and the very sound of young Robespierre's voice is foolish. Desmoulins said of the opinions put forward by Robespierre the younger in the rostrum that they always came from the throat, never from the head.
Note written by Edme-Bonaventure Courtois, cited in Camille Desmoulins and his wife; passages from the history of the Dantonists founded upon new and hitherto unpublished documents (1878) by Jules Claretie, p. 458.
@le-vieux-cordelier @bonbonrobespierre maybe you two should talk this out?

happy pride to you and your numerous boyfriends and singular girlfriend
The only commitment I currently have is to the Republic. I am too busy, too anxious, too short on time and too into self-deprecation to achieve anything else.

Here I am at last.
Revolutionary constantly shifting between political roles, living through more adventures than many of my colleagues and enemies combined. A perpetual thorn in the side of every regime — the Directory, the Consulate, the Empire, the Bourbons, and the Orléans — boldly provoking and ridiculing them despite their unyielding persecution.
I’ve always had the right contacts to pull me out of trouble, laughing in the faces of those who tried — and failed — to bring me down.
Feel free to reach out if you find yourself in trouble because of your Jacobin convictions — I might be able to help. Or if you simply want advice on how to face danger head-on while still enjoying life and all its pleasures, as I always have 🍷.
My comrades and allies throughout these times and struggles:

I don't understand the reactions to your post. We do it all the time. It shows friendship and trust.
The Corderlier's club is much much better
what did you mean with that citoyen
citoyen desmoulins
did you sat in marat lap
....
...
It was a patriotic sit!
And Marat liked it! There I said it!
We usually have the saying that what we do at the Corderlier's club stays there, unlike the Jacobin Club.
..
..
I've said far too much.

Dear Citoyen Robespierre
To the man who helped me achieve citizenship, I apologize if I took advantage of your childhood whipping to sell you overpriced human fat. It was greedy of me.
My sincere apologies,
You follow citizen,

Dear Citizen Sanson,
There are times when I regret that I know how to read.
