Akira is used to meeting supernatural beings when he was in his own universe so seeing an apparition with purple undying flames, it's not as shocking to him than it would be to anyone else in this school for tactical warfare.

Perhaps that's why after learning about what was in the defense room and finally able to hear what this so called ghost boy was saying, Akira was able to finally approach them.

"So, I know kind of what you are but can you explain it to me again? Although, even when I first arrived here, I thought the flames looked cool but that's just because purple is my favorite color. Do you have one?".

Aaaaaaaaand he's been caught. Of course the most Goro Akechi-eque person in this school of warfare had to be the most observant. Akira really should had known anyone could figure out that he was avoiding certain people, least of all the one Akira was trying to get away from in the first place.

"It's not you per say. I'm was also avoidant of Shizuhara. Then again, I don't think she cared what anyone did at this point as long as her rules were followed". A thin excuse as Akira has at least spoken to the taller than him female with the battle-axe a couple of times here and there.

"It's more of a 'me' problem. I don't even recall the TRC so you could say my memories are shot at the moment. Trying to piece things together takes time for me to process and when you show up, that's when it gets too overwhelming to think about, hence I leave and hole up into my room".

Totally plausible as his memories were messed with before, several times in fact. Akira just omits that part because frankly it's no one's business. And the others in the academy remind Akira of his friends in Tokyo, especially Takemaru, Gaku, Tsubasa, and Kyoshika. Takumi was easy to talk to as well. Probably because Akira liked to trust redheads.

Akira needled with a thread of his hair with his fingers, a tell-tale sign that he didn't know what to make of Eito's offer with the question of joining him in the cafeteria. But suddenly his stomach growled, answering the question instead of the frizzy haired teenager himself.

'Traitor' Akira thinks to himself about his stomach and still about the tall silver haired guy in front of him. Welp, might as well get this over with.

"........I guess that works. No harm in a little chat".

The mysteries of the Last Defense Academy kept stacking on top of each other by the day. The newest anomaly happened to be a "transfer student" that not even Sirei himself anticipated. Eito still thought everything was suspicious, and without any clear answers, he would continue to make a stand in questioning every single thing about this so-called mission to save humanity.

So far, everything seemed to be going through the motions. However, Eito felt like Akira made sure to avoid him on purpose. While it didn't look like it to most of the Special Defense Unit members, Eito's days of subtle observation made him deduce that kind of conclusion. Rather than letting things remain awkward between them, he thought that the logical next step was to clear things up. He was merely concerned that this might affect their future battles together.

Eito gave a nod in response to Akira's question. "I'm sorry if I've disturbed you, Kurusu-san. Though I just can't help but feel that I've probably done something wrong." A pause. "Well, that's just what I assumed since you've been interacting with everyone else. On the other hand, I don't remember if we've even had time to talk to each other. We still have a long way to go before we reach the one hundredth day, so I hope we can get along as well." He pondered for a bit before offering a suggestion. "Is it alright if we eat at the Cafeteria together? It's about time for lunch anyway."
