I’m tired of people acting like Zhongli is a serious and chill guy who would never cause problems on purpose as if he isn’t one of the biggest menaces out of the Seven. He used to throw mountains at Venti for annoying him. He, the god of history, starts fights among historians for shits and giggles. He tried to gaslight the Traveler into thinking he was totally not at the Chasm guys really Aether/Lumine you must be seeing things maybe you should go see Baizhu. When Qiqi wanted “Cocogoat” milk he was like “Oh yeah sure totally let’s go look for it” knowing damn well it was a wild goose chase. He made the Traveler sing to a flower and then was like “Oh would you look at that” when a Whooperflower jumped out to maul them. I love him. He’s like a cat pushing things off the counter to see how people react. I would pay to see him interact directly with Neuvillette because I know for a fact he’d get on that man’s nerves and argue about water tasting just to feel something. Furina used freedom from godhood to take a nap and Zhongli used it to give psychic damage to anyone who talks to him longer than 5 minutes. Iconic.

Rewatched all of hidden inventory this morning. Had a few thoughts.

1. Am I a masochist for deciding to do that on a Saturday morning?!? (Yes. Yes I am)

2. THEY WERE SO HAPPY OH MY GOD

3. Still the best anime intro I've seen. The bike scene?!? Shoko healing Haibara while Geto and Gojo get fucking yeeted by Yaga. It's so good.

4. There's been a lot of discussion recently about if Geto is actually nice or pretending to be and how mean he would be as a teacher. Seeing the way he is with Riko cemented for me that he is absolutely nice. Sure he has a sense of humour as much as Gojo and doesn't take kindly to being called weird bangs guy but he cares so much about Riko and Kuroi. He breaks not because he was like this always and his true nature came out but because he cared and felt it was all for nothing. When he speaks to Yuki he says he feels there are two parts of him fighting, one hating non sorcerers and the other knowing this is wrong. Seeing what happened to the twins pushed it over the edge.

5. Similarly Gojo is often portrayed as uncaring in this arc but that's so not the case. He chose to stay another day in Hokkaido for Riko. He pushed himself to the limit to allow her happiness.

6. I think in terms of Geto and Gojo their main issue was communication and pressure. They should have been allowed time to deal with what had happened but they were not. They were teenagers and the higher ups forced them both into mission after mission. The amount of pressure put upon them is insane. I think also if they had had time to really be together they could have communicated how they felt but they didn't get time to.

7. Gojo assumed Geto trusted him enough to talk to him because that's how they had always been. He was blindsided by what happened and still is. To him the Geto he knew would never do that not realising that technically all four of them in the mission died that day.

8. Toji is an outright monster and I will always hate him. "Oh but he thought about Megumi in his final moments!!" That's great did he think about how he was growing up outside of that? He had no qualms killing a child and he abandoned his own. "He loved his wife!!" Yeah well he dishonoured her memory by not protecting their blessing.

since someone's supposed to teach sukuna what love is, and there is a theory that sukuna and yuji are related, what if, in a fight with yuji, when yuji e.g. aims a punch at his soul, sukuna has a certified choso moment (a mental breakdown caused by yuji-related memories) and gives up on his own not to hurt yuji anymore idk

Every passing chapter confirms to me that the main conflict is now only between Yuuji and Sukuna. That's where the emotional stakes are. Everyone else is just window dressing and there to pad time. So can we move Yuuta out of the way already and concentrate on what's important?

249 is not good, and I don't even need to see the translated dialogue to know that. I literally mentioned Hana briefly in my meta as a character who'd likely had her narrative purpose fulfilled (and thus, would be tossed to the wayside), but good fucking Lord. This isn't even a good chapter for Yuta, since his guilt is unearned (in the sense that he literally did not do anything wrong with the plan on Kenjaku), and he's taking over other characters' roles needlessly. Nevermind that we STILL don't know where Maki is...eughghghghgh. Gege is NOT cooking, he is burning the house down. There were way better ways to handle a Yuta & Yuji team-up...and we're missing proper foreshadowing for a certain development in this chapter.

Being disappointed over the end of s n k is funny cause you may still like the past experience with the manga and the anime, and ofc you still hold the characters close to your heart, but sometimes...

Sometimes to see a unique set of gifs can bring a heavy, bitter feeling to mind. And it kinda ruins the mood for awhile.
