Absolutely. I'm kinda the same about life on other planets. We haven't even gotten as far as going to Mars. A few of us went to the moon about sixty years ago, that's about it. Even if we find em it doesn't actually change anything day to day.

Don't get me wrong, I think it'd be rad as hell and I want so much funding to go to space research cuz aside from all the day to day benifits to technology and what not, one of my fave things is when scientists make announcements about mad shit they've found in space (most recent fave was learning about the empty pocket of space. The nearby stars are so far away that if earth was in the middle of it, we wouldn't know about stars till after we got to space).

But, like, aliens even could to earth, pop on down, drop a Cleveland Steamer on the Whitehouse lawn in the shape of "hello world" and I'll still have to go to work in the morning so I can buy food.
