my utterly ridiculous Murder of Delphine Maverick -> Shovel Maverick Origins supercut. i kept waffling about whether or not to make this but i was tired of Maverick's art fight profile having outdated stuff on it, and at the time i didn't have any one good image to replace it with. so. here we are. fyi the undershirt shovel Maverick wears under the sweater is 100% the same little camisole he was killed in. he's gross like that.

also somewhere along the line my art style evolved to have very rectangular irises/pupils and I like it I do but part of me always wondered what rounder irises would look like. so. bug eyed

Made some minimal progress with new clone design. Maverick clone H, baby. There were more sketches than this but I didn't like em much. Mostly of her w long hair but I like the short much better. Probably most definitely going w the slick back. And probably keeping the hat, although I should probably actually look up real hat designs I just made nonsense up for concept purposes. She has double canines on one side 👍

The MavReo possession arc is one I will never get rid of because 1. It finally shows a non-horrific possession and 2. When I used to make fake chapter titles for the story, this part was called 'The Maverick Interlude' bc the story is typically from Reo's pov. Except it still is because. Reo is possessing Maverick. I thought it was funny.

Haircut (2022) - Intaglio print.
I walk past this hung up in the hallway multiple times a day but I always forgot to post it. There are 9 prints in total, in black & brown ink. ft. the sketch + carved plate. Inspired by my oc Maverick of course but it ended up looking more like me.
#theres actually a great one of these prints somewhere that i did as a second pass of the plate w/o applying new ink#and it was after doing the brown ink. which i used after the black bc we ran out of black#and the lines came out in a black and brown mix and it's kinda dope. but i dont have a photo of it#self#<- ?#decapitation

I've been plotting Maverick's murder lately. it happens at sunset so i've decided to heavily lean into the red lighting. makes for good nightmare material. for someone without a soul, Maverick sure was doing a lot of haunting, wasn't he...

Mavreo ship meme thang.... i've never actually done one of these before so it was kinda fun. made me realize how ridiculous the (eventual) height difference is though.... also i wrote some of the stuff in their respective handwriting for fun yay. on the off chance this escapes my circle of mutuals: there are in fact no cars and it was suggested to me to replace that bit with some other kind of heavy machinery. so. the 'fax machine' thing refers to human facsimile machines or cloning machines. on account of the human cloning.
#maverick is a fax machine operator. Getting back into traditional art after years of only doing it sparingly has been an exercise in finding on the fly ways to cope with the fact half my pens and markers are dry or running out of ink after I already started using them to color something in
#firstly. the brown i WANTED to use was totally dry. so i used a different one. but it was weird n streaky so i went for a third#but the inks on those two did NOOOOT like each other. which is why her bangs are like a diff color and texture...#and then the blue for her shirt on the right. running out of ink apparently. arghhh#the template maverick#mvrck#oc
