ALRIGHT: FURTHER DISCUSSION RE: EMILY RHODES

So, this is further to the theory that I posted about on Thursday. 

While making gifs today I realised exactly how cleverly lighted the final scene was. It doesn’t look unnatural at first, but those of you who make gifs (and probably many who don’t) you know how aware of literally all the lights you have to be to make things look good. It made me realise that, actually, this scene is really unnaturally lit. Which is actually unusual for this show.

OH MY FRIEND. YOU’VE OPENED UP A CAN OF WORMS HERE. XD XD. This might take a while.

So, my biggest ship in DS is my wonderful OT3. Lyor/Seth/Kendra or Lysendra. They are the starring trio of my “Pretty Little Distance” series which is a fun read. And by fun I mean painful. But also fun. Then there are the composites that make up the trio. Seth/Kendra (who were actually my first real ship on the show that wasn’t Tom/Alex), Seth/Lyor and Lyor/Kendra. These are the ones I mostly write in fics and similar, because they are my favourites and the characters I’m most comfortable writing.

I think it’s interesting that people put so much faith in the labels “conservative” and “Christian”. I don’t understand how anyone can agree with every single one of their principles.

Christianity and conservatism are not compatible ideologies. Conservatives, socially, are against refugees, against equality, and fiscally are against social programs and financial aid to those in need.

Jesus demanded they help refugees, demanded equality, and demanded aid to the poor.

To be conservative means to not be Christian, and to claim you are both is to be a hypocrite.

Something Jesus also condemned.

I wish Seth would just dump her. She's dangling the maybe carrot now. Poor seth deserves someone better.

I would prefer DS to just lay off the romantics for now anyway.

The one thing I took away from this episode: Emily (finally) realized she still has feelings for Aaron after she found out he might die and she’s gonna dump Seth :)

Don't use Chicago as an example of how gun control doesn't work. It just shows your stupidity and lack of critical thinking skills.

Chicago is one city - anyone can easily buy a gun from a surrounding suburb and bring it in. Also, only semi-automatic guns classified as assault rifles are banned, not all of them.
