@zexalmonth Belated Day 14: Star of Bethlehem, Purity, Atonement

Endlessly fascinated by these two. They came into each other’s lives at what was probably one of the lowest points for Christopher, and a time of big transitions/vulnerability for Kaito. They’re sort of just using each other to accomplish their own goals, but they’re end up with an unlikely friendship. It ends badly because of circumstances outside their control. They don’t see each other for year(s?). Then they’re trying to kill each other. They start to make up, then they die. They come back and Chris leaves again.

And after all that they finally decide to repair things while traveling to a super remote place and trying to accomplish something their fathers couldn’t even figure out how to do under some nebulous ASAP or the world will end deadline. What was going on there????

He appears like four times total, but Yamikawa is my baby, and I love him. Simple as that. He's probably the guy who inspired my love of hot, traditional-Japanese minor characters such as Tsukikage. So here's him wearing a hakama.

I felt like drawing some Trey and Quinton bonding moments, plus I wanted to experiment and play around with colors! So have this little minicomic of younger Quinton comforting younger Trey!

I don’t really have an exact reasoning for them being in a dark environment, I mainly just did that to convey the mood more, but I’ll leave it up to interpretation! Maybe the power went out or something
