It's always been my dream to direct a Star Wars film when I grew up. That said, as I grow a a filmmaker, I've decided that practice makes perfect, and I've begun a project for a series of short films from a stormtrooper's perspective while I await that phone call form Disney.

I can't believe that they are only cannon fodder for main characters to kill off. These are the legitimate enforcers of peace and order in the Empire. Why would it be bizarre if a stormtrooper did some good? Are they really that evil or are they just soldiers doing their job for the government?

I'd like to create several shorts that show the war from the grunt's perspective, like Rogue One, but really pit soldier against soldier.

The first one will be out in a month or so. In the meanwhile, I would like to present this teaser of sorts. YouTube is sorely lacking in stormtrooper based content (Jedi and Sith take all the spotlight :P ) so hopefully this satiates a want you may not know you had.

The roar of the shuttle was deafening but he still had hope. He ran until his lungs burned. And then he ran a little more. But he knew how it would end even before he rounded the corner. The shuttle was gone, already a pin prick in the distance. His world literally darkened as debris began to fill the sky. His legs trembled, but he wasn't afraid. The shockwave would reach him soon. He took off his helmet and walked off to the edge of the landing pad, overlooking the sea and ever expanding explosion.
