Spent a night by the fire, drawing this sexy foot.
Complete with veins and hair and calloused feet because I hate shoes...

Had a lovely weekend away, with bush walking and day drinking on wine tours and good food and some more wine for good luck.

Daaaaamn, the best sausage sizzle (hotdogs, if you’re not aussie) I’ve ever eaten!
Had a basic one with cheese, caramelised onion and various sauces
BUT THEN, the one on the right had sausage, cheese, herb-y fried tomatoes, avocado and mayo. Highly reccomended :)

Paying tipsy homage to two of my idols, Noel Fielding and Kimbra.
Giving me endless inspiration for ridiculous ways to dress, move, talk, dance and be generally flamboyant

After much tracing, redrawing and refining of lines, it's time to actually paint. I've got my techno tunes, my scented candle and my fave grubby apron, all clearly essential to the process. But the hardest part is always making the first mark on that beautiful white paper. *holding the brush, gritting my teeth*

Sorry Future Trudy
I’ve once again made all sorts of exciting food plans which will inevitably stress you out!
Don’t even wanna think about future times when someone might actually put me in charge of the whole Christmas dinner.
Over the next few days, I’m gonna be doing
-Stuffing balls
-2 types of Sanrgia
-Roast beetroot and feta salad
-Portuguese custard tarts
and.....
-3 mini gingerbread houses with 3 types of exciting chocolate truffles inside!!!
oh god, help

One of my first and still one of my favourite digital artworks. Inspired by things scattered about the room when I was working through a Boxing Day food coma.
Eventually I might get around to reworking it, but I’m scared I wont have actually improved at all XD

Black Bean Dumplings with a Summer Mango and Avo Salad
Inventing a new recipe seems like a solid reason to start an entire new blog right? This is the sort of dish that I only realised was vegan when I had finished eating it. You don’t need to miss any flavour to have a healthy, feelgood meal.
Not 100% familiar with how other food bloggers do the recipe bit, so I’m just gonna chuck it down below. Hope you like it <3
Serves 3
Black Bean Dumplings
· 1x 400g tin black beans, rinsed
· 1.5 cups shredded cabbage
· 1 spring onion, sliced
· 2 cloves garlic
· 1 tsp grated ginger
· 1 tsp red chilli, finely diced
· 2 tsp Salt
· 1Tbsp thick soy sauce
· 1 Tbsp black bean sauce
· 24 dumpling wrappers
· Oil for shallow frying
· *for dipping sauce* 1Tbsp each of sesame oil, sweet chilli, black bean and soy sauce
-Mix salt with cabbage, set aside for it to dehydrate. After 30 min (ish) squeeze handfuls, try to get as much water out as possible
-Roughly smoosh beans in a food processor. You want them to have some texture left, but also stick together a bit
-Combine all ingredients (except oil and wrappers)
-Once the salad is mostly prepped, start wrapping and frying them. Wet the outside edges of the wrappers, put approx 1 Tbsp of dumpling mixture in the centre. I like to fold them like a teeny envelope
-Shallow fry them on both sides until delightfully light brown and a bit bubbly. You can keep them warm in the oven/grill if they won’t all fit in your frying pan at once
Summer Mango and Avo Salad
· 1 loose cup spinach per person
· 1 mango sliced
· 1 avocado, roughly chopped
· ½ cucumber, slivered
· ½ punnet cherry tomatoes,
· Juice of 1 lime
· 1 spring onion sliced
· ½ red chilli, finely diced
· 1 tsp grated ginger
· 2 Tbsp runny soy sauce
· 1 sprig of mint
· 1 Tbsp sesame oil
-Mix dressing together with lime, spring onion, chilli, ginger, soy, mint and sesame oil
-Layer the vegetables on your serving plates, starting with spinach for the base. Even though the sauce wont reach everything all at once in the layers, it just looks so pretty. Leave people to mix their own salad, because you are clearly too lazy :)
