Woke up this morning with this song irrevocably connected to Once-ler in my head now. If there’s anyone who only wanted to make his momma proud, it was Oncie.

Cannot unfeel.

Might as well submit it to Truffula Tunes if no one else has. “Proud of Your Boy”!

In case you didn’t know, this song was written by Disney’s Howard Ashman (and in part Alan Menken) for the movie Aladdin, before he passed away. And then it got cut, which the team said was a pretty heartbreaking decision because it was a very personal song for him. So they got Clay Aiken to sing it. Well there’s that at least.

first of all thank you all for following! all your suggestions are being taken into consideration, don't worry if you don't see yours posted up right away.

remember, don't worry about the fact that you can't upload the songs yourselves! you can just tell me the name and artist of the song and I will gladly upload it. I reblog songs too, so you can upload the song on your blog and then link me to it for me to reblog. it's cool. all I want is audio posts and kickass music.

just wanted some feedback on a couple of things:

how do you feel about shippy songs being posted? I think it'd be cool, but seeing as the two most popular pairings rely mostly on headcanon, it's also tricky. (more people should ship tedxaudrey just sayin) (ps. I don't ship oncest but dang they have a lot of awesome songs I want to post because they're so awesome so I personally wanted to do shippy songs)

would you like to be credited for your suggestion in the post? I had something a little more anonymous in mind, but then I thought some people would like to contribute a little bit more publicly. if this is the case, every time I'd have to credit someone for their recommendation, I'd include a little "suggested by [your url]" in the post. the thing is, sometimes more than one person recommend the same song. sometimes the song already is in my drafts. so it's a bit complicated! I'd rather stick with the anonymous way but it's up to you guys, so you tell me what you think.

I just want to make sure this blog is quality enough now that we're still new. so...yep. peace

P.S: I'm going to post pictures to accompany the songs from now on, for easier interpretation! I'll try to use screen caps mostly but you might see the occasional drawing by kind artists and yours truly. since I'm too shy to ask those artists it'll probably be just my drawings haha gomen
