could you plase help me with some fairy lights or strings of lights? i only know a couple and they make everything really pretty

Hi nonnie! I’d like to preface this by saying that I currently don’t have any string lights in my own game (they don’t really fit into my medieval fantasy aesthetic), so most of the suggestions I’m giving below are not something that I’ve personally tested in-game. I’m not sure if my suggestions are what you wanted or not, and they are by no means a definitive list of all string lights/garlands that exist for Sims 2 (obviously, I’m bound to overlook something). 

And now that we’ve got the disclaimers out of the way, here’s the list:

A general suggestion: you can also browse Christmas-themed lots and look out for nice string/fairy lights. Simscave’s Updates are always filled with lots of festive finds from November to January (don’t forget to also browse through the previous years!), and Sssvitlan’s CC Finds has a separate tag for TS2 lots that’s worth checking out. For instance, I was able to find this lot (direct download link) that comes packaged with some pretty neat Christmas lights, and I’m sure that you can find even more if you browse around.

I'd had maushasi's Outdoor Retreat vest edit on my "Convert Someday" list since maybe before I could convert stuff. It's something I'd wear in real life, which I feel like I don't see a ton of for Outerwear. It looks cozy and kinda sleek at the same time, which I really like. The original GP01VestTee is over a short sleeve tee, which...what? The softly ribbed sweater is a much better choice.

It's AF only (for now), all morphs, Everyday and Outdoor. In maushasi's ten colors. (I'll do more soon-ish.) There's a little clipping with extreme movements or poses, because it's a bit long and the neck is kinda high. It's pretty minimal though. It fits best with slimmer pants or leggings, because I didn't want to make it too bulky.

** Genetic values are outside the range of natural skintones, and arranged by hue. If I understand Sims 2 genetics correctly, at least one parent needs Rainbow Party skin (or another skin with a genetics value over 2) for the kids to end up with it.

a combination of suggestions from @yomiine and @favoritetextures: @miikocc's daisy dress, in long and short versions, converted from ts4 to ts2 in fullbody, top-only, and pantless bottom versions paired with @arltos's banding heels 128 😍 it's not perfect (is anything i release, really?) but i did my best and am super happy!

the short version of the dress has a top-only version, the longer dress doesn't, but both have also been made fullbody with the heels. i ended up just making recolours of the heels to match the dresses, so there are 8 swatches for the dresses and 6 swatches for the shoes. the highest polycount is the fullbody long dress and 9k and the lowest are the top-only short dress and heels, at 3k.

bear in mind that there is some clipping with the legs of the long dress when sims walk, i tried to fix this but bone assignments (especially with slits) is just my forte, so sorry 🙏

The Forbidden Fruit counter cabinets (and NeonServe kitchen islands) and the NeonBar in Cluedo Woods and Colors. Default and non default options!

For the countertops I’ve used the textures by Shasta for their pirate woods and yeti colors recolors because they were perfect already. I also recommend getting their CEP in the same post so the islands and NeonBar share countertop textures with the Forbidden Fruit counters. If you don’t, you can still use my cabinet textures for all of them, but the countertops of the bar and kitchen islands can’t change their color.

I’ve also made a .psd file so people can use it to make their own recolors, or use the dirty overlay to put on other counters. This includes shadow/detail overlays for both the counter and the bar. If you don’t have Photoshop, you can also use GIMP to open the file. I always make a mess of my .psd files so I cleaned it up and it should be clear what is what now. I’ve kept the Cluedo Woods Light recolor in it so that if you use wood textures you can see whether you need horizontal or vertical textures on what part. In short; just take a look if you think it will be useful to you!

4t2 - y2k set

hi ! this is my first time converting alpha cc, after lower the polygons, deleting explosions of meshes, replacing the big textures, and a lot of pain.. here you have the y2k set by @kirikasims converted to the sims 2 !
