Plain Country Bedroom & Country Kitchen

I removed all the rose/flower stencils from the base game "country" bedroom and kitchen items. Yes, even the floral plates in the cabinet. I just prefer a cleaner look.

These are default replacements for the textures.

I know about Velocitygrass's stencil remover mod, but I'd rather not manually delete the stencils each and every time I place an item, so I made these texture overrides instead.

Items affected:

Country double bed, single bed, dresser, and end table

Country kitchen sink, cabinets, counters, and islands

Put these in Overrides or Packages folder.

No Cheaty Into The Future Bathtub! by MihaiA10

"Did anyone else notice that the bathtub that came with the Into The Future EP makes Sims bathe instantly? While the design of the bathtub itself is pretty cool, and really has a quirky yet modern look to it, the fact that Sims get the "Squeaky Clean" moodlet just as they sit in it, even in non-future worlds, is game-breaking and feels cheaty to me. That's why I created this mod, which replaces the original script applied to the ITF bathtub with the script of the base game rectangle bathtub, therefore, making Sims bathe at normal speed. However, pre-existing ITF bathtubs, such as the ones you might find in future worlds or custom worlds/lots, will not be replaced, unless you rebuy them yourself.

EA's graphics from 512x512 with noise was enhanced to 1024x1024 with less noise and adding Simlish Hanzi to replace EA's "bad handwriting" texture on the machine maker. Click this picture below to enlarge.

STBL Renamed mod, from "Fortune Cookies" to "Mooncakes" translated to all languages.

ⓘ For language translations except Chinese, I use online translator to change word "Fortune Cookies" ---> "Mooncakes" & "Mooncake" depending on singular and plural context. Feel free to correct in comment section if you feel the translation and the grammar is wrong or I accidentally deleted other word.

Reason why I made the change:

Because Shang Simla is taking place in China, not American Chinatown, thus the portrayal of the cookies should be authentic of actual China in real life, not American cookies that are foreign to actual Chinese people. Fortune Cookies are U.S.A.- made cookies: American invention originating in California. History of Fortune Cookies (source: fancyfortunecookies.com) Mooncakes are cakes originated from China, dates back over 3,000 years to ancient China. Mooncakes are a traditional treat during the Mid-Autumn Festival, which is celebrated on the 15th day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar.

Mooncakes are the must-eat Mid-Autumn food in China. They are a traditional Chinese pastry. Their round shape and sweet flavor symbolize completeness and sweetness. At the Mid-Autumn Festival, people eat mooncakes together with family, or present mooncakes to relatives or friends, to express their love and best wishes. Mooncakes are usually eaten after dinner while admiring the moon. History of Mooncakes in China... (source: chinahighlights.com) Fortune Cookies are made in USA and only exist in USA, but mistaken by USA people themselves as "Chinese" cookies just because the cookies are sold in American Chinese restaurant in USA. We actual Chinese live on our country have never seen Fortune Cookies, as we only know the presence of those cookies in Hollywood (U.S.A.) movies. Not just culture inaccuracy, I enabled this machine maker in Buy Mode section for easy access because this item must have been forgotten in the corner and only been played once when the player visit Shang Simla.

Colour & Presets: Same as original EA's: 3 Presets & original EA's Fortune Cookies Machine Maker colour channels.

How to Change Default EA's Fortune Cookies to Mooncake in Shang Simla world.

Fortune Cookies maker in Shang Simla doesn't automatically change to Mooncake due to different coding in-game.

❗You must buy Mooncake Machine Maker from Buy Mode (Appliances > Miscellaneous Appliances) to load the texture first, then travel to Shang Simla world, do "Reset Textures" using Nraas' Debug Enabler.

You need to install Nraas' Debug Enabler (Core mod by Twallan) in order to work correctly ❗

Follow these steps to reset textures: 

Click on the Fortune Cookies Maker > Nraas > Debug Enabler > Options: Lucky Factory Mooncake Maker > Object… > Reset Textures > (Choose one) All Sims3.Gameplay.Objects.Appliances.FortuneCookieMaker or This Object

TS3 - 3 STBL Renamed Mods "Asian" --> "Chinese", "Endowments" --> "Breasts", "Goopy Carbonara" ---> "Carbonara"

These 3 STBL Renamed Mods are separated, so you can choose 1 / 2 / all 3 of them. All these mods were tested and working well with each other Mods and with my previous STBL Renamed Mods in Spring Rolls and Mooncake Machine Maker.

I wondered why nobody made these renamed mods for almost 16 years since The Sims has been released from year 2009, therefore I finally made these mods by my own.

1. "Asian" --> "Chinese"

Reason why I made the change:

"Asian" term is too broad. Asia is one big continent, consists of 48 countries. Southeast Asians, South Asians, Western Asians do not eat using chopsticks and do not have traditional architecture like East Asians. East Asians themselves such as Japan and Korea have different culture and architecture from China. If the developer of this game wanted to point one country, Shang Simla, then it should be China / Chinese only. It is like calling Champs Les Sims "European" and Al Simhara "African". Champs Les Sims is called "French" and Al Simhara "Egyptian", why Shang Simla is called "Asian", not "Chinese" instead?

This mod changed the name of Asian in Game Tip, Trait, Tourist, object name of building items such as bridge and rocks that you can find in CAW (Create-A-World) for building World, but I cannot run the application. Please check the name change if you can run CAW application.

Languages are in English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean only.

To be honest I am tired. If you wanted to translate to your language, you can do it by open this .package file on EasySTBLManager by (†) CmarNYC, click "Copy to Missing" > Edit to your language> Save the .package. > Open .package in s3pe > Delete unnecessary language strings if you want.

2. "Endowments" --> "Breasts"

Reason why I made the change:

This text keeps appearing many times on loading screen, so I had to change the word because the word "Endowments" itself is too forced, to censor the name of adult female human body part, in this video game with Teen Rating. Breasts are scientifically & biologically correct term to call upper part of female human body made of fat with mammary glands to give milk to her baby, and they are not genitalia. As they started to develop since young girls were pre-teen, which are the target demographic of The Sims game itself, and adult women themselves wanting to adjust both their own real life breasts and their Sims' breasts, so nothing sexual or taboo here.

Languages: All Languages. (Using online translator, feel free to comment to correct if there was wrong translation).

3. "Goopy Carbonara" ---> "Carbonara"

Reason why I made the change:

I know that "Goopy" name was from Goopy Gilscarbo from The Sims 2 character. But for me, as I have been playing The Sims 3 since the base game released in year 2009, I wanted the name of food was just like in real life. That's it. No Goopy. Just "Carbonara".

The Traditional Chinese language version did not translated directly to "Goopy Carbonara", but instead other food pasta menu and it was incorrect. 醬料通心粉 (Macaroni with sauce) --> 卡邦尼意粉 (Carbonara) While the Japanese translation it was translated directly to "Goopy Carbonara" in katakana, I deleted the グーピー word.

Languages are in English, Chinese, Japanese only.

Known issues: ⚠️ These mods may not be compatible with other STBL renamed mods made by other Modders due to accidental same instance code used by other Modders that can make other Rename mods you installed before this mod will revert back to original word.

Reason why I made the change:

Egg Rolls were introduced in World Adventures Expansion Pack, as food recipe in Shang Simla, China Sims world, are actually not authentic food to depict Chinese food in China but American Chinese food in U.S.A. country instead: Cheap "American Chinese" meal with stir-fry noodles on the same plate. In China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Southeast Asian countries, the correct name: Spring Rolls, not Egg Rolls. Egg Rolls are variation of American/U.S.A. Spring Rolls in their country, because Egg Rolls were created in the U.S.A. to appeal American people (has thicker wrapper and bumpy texture) and have been staple dish in American Chinese restaurants. While we actual Asians, Chinese & Southeast Asians, call them Spring Rolls （春捲）and we put Spring Rolls on one plate separated from other food or meal or dish. We actual Asians live in Asian country do not put Spring Rolls together with stir-fry noodles on the same plate. Imagine if you put spaghetti with burger on the same plate... Shang Simla taking place in China, not U.S.A, so that was why I made the change from Americanized food that EA's The Sims 3 employees did not consult to actual Chinese people to authentic Chinese Spring Rolls that normally we eaten in real life. For your info, Traditional Chinese version of The Sims 3 World Adventures has correct name to call the Spring Rolls : 春捲 (Chūnjuǎn = Spring Rolls), not Egg Rolls.

Egg Rolls （蛋倦）in Chinese language and country (also sold in Southeast Asian countries) are actually biscuits made from eggs.

Mesh & photography texture are made by me. Using photo texture of Chinese Spring Rolls wrapped in diagonal triangle-shaped wrapper, with yellow-golden fried colour. The texture has 2048 x 2048 pixels to ensure highest quality for The Sims food texture.

The Geostates of Full, Half, Empty are fully working.

Requirement: World Adventures Expansion Pack

Sim must learn how to cook Spring Rolls (that EA The Sims 3 called them Egg Rolls) from cooking book bought in Shang Simla, China and have adequate cooking skill to enable Spring Rolls option.

⚠️ Known issues:

"Spring Rolls" rename mod only works for brand new cooked food in the game. When you already had your Sim served old EA's "Egg Rolls", then you installed this mod, the mod will not automatically change/rename "Egg Rolls" to "Spring Rolls" for existing Spring Rolls in the game. Your Sim should cook new Spring Rolls from fridge, cook, and serve, then the name of the food will change to "Spring Rolls". The same thing applied for Spring Rolls bought in Shang Simla food or any World that has food register. Your Sim should "Buy Food" to get the Spring Rolls with new "Spring Rolls" name. While the old existing food still has "Egg Rolls" name attached to the food. If you put the food in fridge as leftover before you installed this mod, the name will be "Egg Rolls" no matter what. While your brand new cooked food has "Spring Rolls" name.

The Spring Rolls thumbnail looks broken mesh with incorrect UVmapped texture because the game generates the thumbnail by itself and due to OBJD and the thumbnail source of the original EA's Egg Rolls cannot be found elsewhere, thus the thumbnail cannot be fixed. Please ignore the thumbnail, as the mod itself works very well.

As usual, install this package on Package folder. You can safely delete the package if you no longer want to use the default replacement.

Default Replacement Wagons and Carriages for Sims 3

This is a set of default replacement wagons and carriages for Sims 3. They're based on my earlier conversions of Hexameter's Farm Wagon and @notsooldmadcatlady's Medieval Carriage which use Dragonslave horses, converted by Kyrie with @danjaley's texture edit. Thanks again to these creators for their work!

No More Sims Driving Cars in Dragon Valley!

Hexameter's Farm Wagon replaces the Yomoshoto Evasion and Tofunda Wagon and Notsooldmadcatlady's Medieval Carriage replaces the VFN Kompensator and Margaret Vaguester.

These four cars are the ones the game gives to inactive sims, along with the Sloppy Jalopy and Big Lemon.

Danjaley has already made default replacements for the Sloppy Jalopy and Big Lemon and for the taxi. So if you install this set of default replacements alongside danjaley's, you should only see sims driving carriages and wagons in the background of your game.

These versions of the Farm Wagon and Medieval Carriage are significantly lower poly than the original non-default versions:

VFN Kompensator/Margaret Vaguester Carriage:

This is at the upper end of the range of normal for EA car meshes but I haven't experienced any lag or problems with them.

As with any default replacements, you may need to clear your world cache to get the textures to show up properly in your game.

That moment when you discover how to do something new and start looking for more stuff to edit… This time it’s the decorative barrels from WA, which are now usable as nectar racks! I changed the script class to that of the expensive rack, so the barrels should offer the same perks as it.

+ Requires World Adventures! + Default replacement only. + Found under Storage \ Misc. + You will have to replace existing barrels for them to work as nectar racks, otherwise they’ll be decor-only.

4t3 Conversion - SimmerWellPupper's PS5 Controller Default Replacement

as soon as i saw the god awful sims 3 game controller model, i knew i needed to find some sort of replacement for it. simmerwellpupper has been inactive for a while, and didn't respond to my message for permissions ~4 months ago, but i decided to go ahead and upload this anyway! if they ever return and want me to take it down, then i will! :)

original sims 4 mod. full credits to both simmerwellpupper and the original creator of the model, Freddie Drabble! all i did was convert it to ts3.

i only converted the white, black, and pink ones, sorry! feel free to use my conversion files if you want to make the other two.

Modern Kitchen Counters Default Replacement FIXED

Feb 2025 Update: these items have now been fixed by phantom99!!! Thank you so much 🙏

The original problem: when these counters were placed on a lot, and the lot was saved to the library in Edit Town mode, it caused an infinite processing loop. This should no longer happen now.

Description:

these are the base game's Real Flat kitchen counters and cabinets with the handles removed for a minimalist look

these are default replacements

use the Create A Style tool on any existing counters to update them to the new mesh and textures

texture quality is not the best, so I strongly suggest using wood, stone etc. patterns on them

can be placed in Overrides or Packages folder

Ornamental Pear Tree DR by vesko_sims3

"The reason I created this default replacement mod is that the original ornamental pear tree doesn't look good at all because of its eye-searing neon green leaves. So, I desaturated and reduced the brightness of the tree trunk and leaves to make it as realistic as possible. I also edited the shadow map to reduce its brightness during the day. I’m not sure if anyone has created an override mod to fix this tree, but here it is.

Cherry Blossom Tree DR by vesko_sims3

"The reason I created this default replacement mod is that the original cherry blossom tree doesn't look like real one due to its oversaturated and dark flowers. As a result, it could be mistaken for a peach tree, which has dark pink flowers as this one. So I did some altering by desaturating and lightening the tree trunk and the petals to make it as realistic as possible.

The photos for this creation were taken in Sunset Valley with an additional shadow/lightning mod. The tree may look a bit off when you install the mod due to differences in the color settings you’ve applied or the type of color profiles on your PC monitor has. For example, when you use an LCD monitor like I do, the colors may appear less vibrant and have lower contrast compared to OLED displays.
