Psych textbook claimed that usually switches are instantaneous and we wanted to see if that was accurate

Positivity post cause of recent things. Psychosis is still marginalized and treated like a joke or an insult. We have delusional episodes and it sucks how little there is in the way of resources for it in general let alone aimed specifically at systems. There's an unfortunate number of people who believe these experiences are mutually exclusive, they're not. It's probably actually quite common at least among systems with trauma.
Shout-out to systems with psychosis
Shout-out to systems who've been told they're psychotic and not plural
Shout-out to endogenic/created systems with psychosis
Shout-out to endogenic/created systems that have been told they're psychotic and not plural
Shout-out to people who thought they were systems but are actually psychotic

What are endogenic systems?
Just a little thing I decided to do because a lot of people just don't know what they are, and still try to get involved in this dumb drama Do not reblog to syscou.rse blogs, or if you know your blog might attract bad attention (I'll also use my digression to block anyone who doesn't respect my existence. this is inherently not a fair debate!) Edit: can't believe I have to say this but radfems will be blocked without any engagement

So here's a list of currently planned blog posts/video essays that are currently planned and will be released when they're done, no guarantees on when they'll actually come out though.
Blog posts:
Syskid guide for systems, will cover how to figure out how you're syskids should be treated plus some activities
Syskid guide for allies, what are syskids, how should you treat them, etc
So your friend has just told you they're a system, what is that, what should you know, and what should you do
So your kid has just told you they're a system, what is that, what should you know, and what should you do
Video essays:
Plural advocacy starter video
The deification of psychologists in online spaces

Sorry for being inactive on here for a while, college started and that ate into our time to work on certain projects for this blog but we're almost to winter break and we should be able to make some progress on those projects and maybe even post parts of them

We're defining a systeen as any headmate that identifies as such.
There is an accompanying poll for syskids.

We... uh are still struggling with differentiating different headmates from each other as well as my own thoughts and I was wondering if you had any advice on doing so? Or stopping thought-bleeding.
We used to struggle with this too. What we found was helpful was using something like pluralkit to write out our thoughts and identify the ones that we could and that slowly helped us to learn to identify which of us was talking. Hope this helps ^_^ /gen

The plural community is full of so many nice and awesome people; it's just that the hateful voices are the loudest sometimes. We can be loud too, but the quiet ones are also here, and there're so many more of us than they realize. We're still a community and we still share solidarity

Making an actual post about this. Psychology has been our special interest since we were about 12 so we sometimes forget that certain terms aren't actually common knowledge so if you're ever confused by a term we used please don't hesitate to ask us.

So, I spoke to my therapist about it and she doesn't think I am plural. She thinks these 'alternate versions of me' are more of a result of sudden hyperfixations due to my ADHD which pretty much messes with my sense of identity temporarily. It sounds right but still doesn't explain my pronoun and dysphoria stuff. Do you think she is right?
We had to do some research for this one because we've never heard of identity disturbances being part of ADHD before and she's not entirely wrong, but it doesn't actually explain away the plurality.
ADHD by itself does not include identity disturbances, however ADHD has been linked to comorbid dissociative disorders which would include plurality type stuff. This can seem like identity disturbances to someone who isn't familiar with/believe in plurality.

hi, I can't figure out if I have memory issues or not. I think I have dissociative amnesia, but I can't figure out whether it's just how normal people forget.
I will for example forget a whole class I've allegedly been in, or most if not all conversations I've had with people. Is it mentally ill?
Hello, sorry this took so long to answer, yes that does sound like amnesia as most people will remember classes that they've been in and conversations that they had. As for whether it's dissociative amnesia we can't say for sure since there are other things that could be causing it.

Based on my pinned post, do you think it is possible I am plural or am I just dealing with something else? I really can't tell and it freaks me out.
The whole "alternate versions of me" really sounds a lot like what Ranger called us before our syscovery so it definitely sounds like it could be plurality, I'd also recommend doing some research on median systems since certain parts of your pinned give more median than multiple vibes.
Overall it definitely sounds like you're plural in our opinion.

Positivity post time :)
Here's to all the systems that have been marginalized in the community.
Endogenic systems
Traumagenic systems that have been told that their trauma is too much
Traumagenic systems that have been told that their trauma is too minor
Created systems
Polyfragmented systems
Systems with lots of fictives, especially ones from "cringy" sources
Y'all are super valid.
Feel free to tag this with any we missed
