Let's talk some changes that have been made converting Whitestars and Golden Wolves into The Wolf and the Whitestar

1: Names- Obviously this is the most expected change. From characters to cities and kingdoms, these had to occur.

Azalea hails from Tyldon, and Nilos hails from Zelarum. Jarret is Azalea's Bloodsworn knight, and Deidre is Nilos' witty and fiery favorite cousin.

2: Personalities- while I had already taken a few liberties in WaGW, I explored how those small changes would look in a world free of the Whoverse without fundamentally changing the characters.

A: In the rewrite, Azalea has not only seen war twice, she has commanded a battle. So, she approaches the marriage with the mindset of it being an emotional battlefield. She is more antagonistic, more resistant to his charms, and more closed off. It takes her much longer to reach the love stage, although the lust stage remains as originally written. This also makes her more conflicted in how she handles his treatment of her. She bites him, a lot.

B: Nilos' honor code and sense of morals are stronger and prouder than the fic. While he does begin falling for her almost immediately, his compassion and kindness often open him up to her spite and anger. His gentler nature and empathetic heart, however, expands further in the opposite direction. He does not like to kill, but he understands the necessity of it in war.

3: It is longer. I just reached the "return from sneaking out into town" scene, and I'm already at 34K words. So, the book will probably finish somewhere between 60-70k when I'm through. Some of the more rushed scenes from the fic are now in 2 separate chapters.

4: The 😈consummation scene😈 no longer takes place in the prince's study, and it no longer begins with her returning to the palace because of a fight with her knight. Let's just say, when our prince discovered his wife was missing, he decided to let his magic summon her back to his presence. 🌩️🌩️🌩️

5: There are some new intimacy scenes that I feel build their relationship at a better pace. Also, the spicy scenes are spicier than before.

Hi Everyone, it's me, your girl TimeLadyoftheSith.

I know a few people have heard already, but I wanted to come on here and make the announcement myself. Due to an influx of harassment on Ao3, TT, and IG, I had taken a pause on updating my WIPs. I did delete the main fic where most of the harassment was generating from. Sorry to those who loved From Spring Comes Death.

During that time, I was also made aware that my continued presence and active posting was one of the factors working against my pursuit of traditional publishing. While I have previously self-published, my career field that currently pays my mortgage and keeps food in the table for my son and me doesn't place the same level of respect on self-published works.

This means that I will be deleting my Ao3 account.

I wanted to give everyone time to save and download their faves before I did, so the deletion will occur in 3 weeks.

Thank you all for your continued support through the years. I will try to become more of a presence here on Tumblr in order to keep everyone updated with my continuing writing career.

I was hosting a live with my cosplay friends, beta and arc readers, and another author.

One by one they had their cams cut off. Elizabeth was the last person on voice before she was silenced.

I just sat there crying for two minutes before I bid farewell to my Canadian friends in the comments.

The marginalized side of the indie/self pub writing community is in shambles. We aren't being shown to each other in reels. Our threads main feeds are all over the place. Our discords are being flooded with readers and reviewers who didn't have time to find us all over the last month.

Many who write queer/Black/neurodivergent spicy books have seen their marketing analytics on meta tanking the last few days leading up to this.

America has committed to its already rapid decent into fascist censorship.

At eighteen years old, I wanted nothing more than to escape my conservative, evangelical family. Frustrated with their religious restrictions and infantilization of my autism, my final straw was at the end of my junior year when they told me the only college they’d pay for was a Christian one. Under the encouragement of my therapist and writing teacher, I pursued the only option I could without my parents knowing, publishing the fantasy novel I wrote junior year.

When I received yet another rejection on my manuscript with the feedback that my characters are difficult to connect with, I tried a spell I found online. It promised to help unlock the source of my creativity, but it didn’t say it would thrust me into the very scene I was revising.

Stuck in my own story, I had to come to terms with the fact that not only had my plot gone totally off the rails, but my characters were far more flawed than I realized. Prince Sapphyran, the kingdom hearthrob, is far too arrogant and shouldn’t even have been at Gladehollow Temple. Kunzytra, my flawless high-priestess in training, is full of doubt and keeping secrets. Only my Chosen One, Marinus, seems to be performing the way I intended.

Mistaken for their goddess, my only choice is to join in on their quest to stop the very darkness I created. I have to get them back on the plot before the Summer Solstice is eclipsed, but the dangers are real. My newly acquired powers are sporadic and out of control, and I might be falling for one of them.
