   «♟» ❝But understanding the truth is exciting especially                 when it's being so carefully concealed.❞ The remark                  was simple and casual, although if one were to look                  carefully a taunting undertone could be found in his                  statement. One thing known about the infamous                  informant was that he loved  playing games, and                  she was definitely providing quite an interesting one.  

                Not to mention her reactions were so predictable.                   Though he could't help but wonder if Louise knew                  he could predict everything she would do, everything                 she would say with an alarming amount of accuracy.

                ❝But that would be lying. What kind of informant would                 I be if I couldn't meet my end of a bargain?❞ He questioned                 though it were a rhetorical one. An ebony brow lifted at                 the blatant threat, though he still continued to appear                  relaxed. Casual even. For what did he have to worry                  about? One doesn't get this far choosing to feel the                  emotion known as fear. 

                ❝Scary.❞ He commented after a moment of silence                  although no real sense of fear could be found in his                  tone, actions, expression even. 

          There was something about his casual use of her name that set Louise on edge. She didn’t like the way that silver tongue made a mockery of the syllables, didn’t like hearing her name as it spilled from the informant’s lips. 

          Had they encountered each other on a different day, she might have been in the mood to play games, but seeing the way things were, Louise was undeniably frustrated. Not that she’d let it show. She had no intention of letting the raven know that he’d ruffled her feathers. Whether or not her irritation shone through regardless — well, that was a different matter.

          “Well, Izaya, people like knowing things they shouldn’t, but that doesn’t mean that they know the truth.” Having dealt in information herself, she was all too aware that even SERPENT’s secrets couldn’t be concealed from those who cared enough — or rather, paid enough — to discover them. Nonetheless, it irritated her that the informant was running around spilling secrets that should never see the light of day. Or perhaps irritated wasn’t the right word there. She was enraged.

          Louise drew in a deep breath, letting it out slowly, before composing herself so she could speak her next words. “I think we can be friends, Izaya. You feed your clients false information, and we can all walk away pleased with the deal. Or else, I’ll have to take matters into my own hands.” What was the saying again? Ah, yes. Two can keep a secret if one of them is dead. She wasn’t overly fond of the thought of killing all those who learned too much about her organization, but should she be forced to play her hand, she wouldn’t hesitate to do so.

     «♟» The offered hand was completely ignored, the                   informant instead simply allowed his lips to                    move so he could speak,❝Kuro-chan it is.❞                    He stated, almost as if he were testing the                    words on his tongue. The grin never left                    his lips as a quick shrug was given,❝Why                   I'm simply Izaya Orihara.❞ He answered, though                    he didn't expect the other to know his name.                    He was an underground informant after all; if                    everyone recognized his name were would that                    leave him? 

With his head canted ever so slightly, he let his arms fold over his chest as he, too, analyzed the other. Though their acquaintanceship had only just begun… Well, Kuroha knew almost instantly that any future encounters with this guy would be interesting. Perhaps they would meet again at a later date, but for now, identification was needed to make that possible.

"Heh," came a dark snicker as he just extended an arm. That was a custom people usually made when greeting someone, to have someone shake their hand— at least, that’s what Kuroha assumed. "You can just call me Kuroha. Now, who are you, hm~?"

     «♟» ❝As attractive as that offer sounds I have to decline.                   You see, people crave knowledge about the unknown.                    Your organization isn't safe from those that are curious,                   Louise.❞  He remarked, crimson oculars narrowing                    ever so slightly as a coy smirk painted across his lips.

          “It would appear that you and I have very different definitions of wrong.”

          Louise exhaled softly. There were days when she simply didn’t have the patience for games, this being one of those days.

          “Look, I’ll make this easy for both of us and cut you a deal. You stop gathering information on my activities, and in exchange I’ll pay you as much as you want. It’s a one-time deal. I won’t be offering this again.”

      «♟» ❝This coming from a school girl how                   priceless.❞ Of course the broker knew                    Anri was more than what she first                    appears, but still, he can't fight the urge                   that encourages  him to taunt her.

      «♟» A fox like grin curled onto the lips of the                     broker, crimson gaze already moving to                     observe the unknown male before him;                     simply taking in the other's words and                    actions. He could already tell that he                    would end up having quite a bit of fun                    with the stranger. He could hardly wait.

                             ❝I'm sure we will.❞ he commented,                     hands finding their way into his coat                    pockets. His form spoke of one who was                    completely at ease with a situation,                    something not far  from the truth,❝And                    who exactly are you?❞
