you stared at the ceiling of your pod with tired eyes and a heavy heart as the echoes of the pandoran night seeped into your home through your window and a gentle breeze kissed your skin. loneliness consumed you without the warmth of tsu'teys arms wrapped around your body. you had gotten used to his tender embrace and comforting presence during the dark of night and the absence of his soft fingertips that occasionally grazed your skin as he slept left a dull ache within you.

the two of you had an argument. the first you'd ever had. it left a bitter taste in your mouth to know that you were going to sleep angry with each other; something that the two of you had promised to never do, but your pride did not allow you to apologise when you knew that it was needed. the ache began to turn to pain as you thought back to your harsh words and venomous tone. the way that you had turned away from him and offered nothing but heavy footsteps and a dismissive wave of your hand as you stormed back to your own pod; a place you had not slept in weeks and that no longer felt like home.

before you knew it, the familiar warmth of his arms engulfed you as he nuzzled his face into the crook of your neck; his warm breath fanning your skin and his racing heartbeat filling your ears like the beat of a drum. the moment that you registered his touch, it was as though all your worries had melted away; the pain inside you now evolving into pure relief and contentment.

'we do not sleep angry with each other.' he whispered as his fingertips began to circle the skin of your lower back. a soft smile tugged at your lips as you leaned into his touch; his velvet voice offered solace to your mind and his wandering fingertips sent shivers down your spine. you placed a gentle kiss to his collarbone as you hummed softly, looking up at the face of the man who was the sole occupant of your heart. it did not matter where you were; it was tsu'tey that made wherever you were feel like home.
