just a bunch of posts looking at the insane Easter egg that is Tuckersoft.com (for black mirror).

valdack’s revenge & white bear
These are the last two games on the site (no matter the version) that seem to have any connections to other Black Mirror episodes. There are 4 more games on the site, which I’ll talk about in one last post, but I can’t seem to find any connections to Black Mirror in them.
Valdack’s Revenge:
Valdack’s Revenge is another game on the Tuckersoft website, which is way shorter and less interesting (in my mind) than the other 3 games I’ve talked about.
Its page looks like this:
Like Metl Hedd, it seems to mirror the plot of another Black Mirror Episode (S4 E1 USD Callister, my favorite episode), and like every other game on the site has the message of “The people, places and actions of this game are based on true events.”
This barely makes sense though, unless we disregard timelines. It doesn’t have an “ad” to another site, but it’s still cool.
White Bear
This game is the last one to appear on the Tuckersoft website, with the shortest description. It is a little more relavent, as the symbol appears in Bandersnatch, but really only related via the name.
Its page looks like this:
Oddly, it doesn’t have the yellow text at the bottom.
I went back and checked, and actually now the only games with the yellow text are Bandersnatch, Nohzdyve, Metl Hedd, and Valdack’s Revenge. I swear it was different before, but maybe I’m just tired.
Anyways, the only part of interest for me for this description is the “escape the ice blocks over and over again”, which relates to how in White Bear the main character goes through the same day over and over again, and of course the symbol at the bottom.
The last Easter egg/thing of note is an “ad” that appears under the game “Terror on Rannoch B” for “Coach”.
It leads to a website with simply a circular shaped device, similar to the one in the episode Hang the DJ. I’ve tried this before, all you do is click, send a link to a friend or partner, and then you can see how much time your relationship supposedly has left. It’s really interesting, and a cool Easter egg, but not super fun. I also remember seeing it on Black Mirror’s Twitter.
And that’s pretty much all I could find on Tuckersoft’s website. Go check it out for yourself though, because it’s really interesting.

UPDATE
I literally just went back on the website, and I’ve found a third version!!
In this one, both Bandersnatch and Nohzdyve are present.
The bottom of the site now looks like this:

It seems like the site is changing based on the different endings of the movie...although this one (especially looking at the paragraph at the bottom of the site) doesn’t seem to mirror any of the movie’s endings, unless they’re leaving out something.
Anyone got any thoughts?

metl hedd
Metl Hedd is another game supposedly made by Colin, and is heavily featured on both versions of the site I saw.
(any fans will notice the connection to Black Mirror S4E5, titled Metalhead. The cover of the game features the same dog/robot enemy in the episode.)
This game is giving a passing mention in the movie, with the description from Tuckersoft’s site and the game reviewer character from the movie being practically the same.
The second paragraph is more interesting, as it essentially copies the plot of Metalhead.
The bottom of the page looks like this:

The thing that really catches my attention (besides the ad at the bottom, which I’ll get to), is the yellow underlined text:
“The people, places and actions depicted in this game are based on true events.”
This text is at the bottom of every single game page on the Tuckersoft website.
This made me wonder...is Metalhead just an hour long version of the game Metl Hedd? Or did Metalhead actually previously happen in Bandersnatch’s universe? (Or am I reading too much into this? Given that it’s Black Mirror maybe not, but still.)
Now, about that ad at the bottom.
I clicked on it, wanting to see what it led to (or if it led to anything).
Turns out, it’s actually a website that behaves freakishly like the rating system we see in Nosedive (S3E1).
When you first click on it, you get this screen:
If you choose “rate a friend”, you can type in a name or a username, your name or username, and rate them.
Honestly, it’s a little boring (especially compared to the “Get Your Rating” option).
If you choose to get your rating, it leads you to a screen where you can type in your name or username/handle. I first did this with my name (Sarah) and the screen looks like this:
(if you click the link at the bottom it just takes you to Netflix)
I also decided to play around with other usernames.
@blackmirror gets you a 5.00 rating
Naomi gets you a 4.95
and while I experimented with other names, they weren’t that interesting.
Nevertheless, it’s an interesting Easter egg and fun to play with.
My real question though, is what do you think of Metl Hedd, especially the line at the end?

bandersnatch
if you go to Tuckersoft’s website, you can see the “games” they have produced. Prominently featured, you’ll see Bandersnatch (the fictional game made in Netflix’s new movie).
However, it can appear a few ways.
The first time I opened the site, it said Bandersnatch was cancelled, with the cover in black and white. The game we see Colin making in the movie (Nohzdyve) was there.
side note: after my second time viewing the site, I CANNOT find this version of the game. I’ve refreshed several times. If you can see the site like this (where it says bandersnatch is cancelled) please add more and tell me what it was like (and also so I can know I’m not crazy lol)
After looking at other stuff on the site and annoying the shit out of my friend (which is why I made this; so I won’t annoy her anymore lol), I looked back at the site for more interesting stuff, but it had changed.
Now Bandersnatch had been released, but Nohzdyve was gone...
The bottom of the site reads this:

You can click on each game, and Bandersnatch leads to this:
(That background doesn’t appear in any of the other games).
Anyways, if anyone has any other ideas on this OR has access to the site where it says bandersnatch is cancelled, please add to this!!

intro
so I started this when I clicked on the site associated with this QR code found at the end of Bandersnatch if you make certain choices (I’ll link to the article I used below):
the site looks like a retro website for Tuckersoft, a fake (?) game development studio appearing in Bandersnatch.
In the next few posts I’ll talk about the site.
source (first one) & the website if you’d like to look for yourself (second one).
