kinda wish anya's abuse wasnt reduced to her rape so often either tbh. that makes everything worse of course but even outside of that i think its important to acknowledge that she is in a very hostile and careless environment. jimmy is abusive even when hes not touching her (in fact after the crash hes just redirecting some of his usual verbal abuse reserved for curly to her) and swansea and daisuke just refuse to recognize they should be looking out for her (which is weird because curly gets villainized for not helping when his options are so so much more limited pre-crash). like even before we find out shes pregnant she is in a very scary helpless unsafe situation and i kinda wish her rape wasnt seen as everything wrong but another terrible layer of her abuse from someone thats already dangerous to be around.
