there should be an episode of mob psycho where an orchestra somewhere is panicking because their conductor has been killed by an evil spirit and reigan shows up thinking he and mob would exorcise the spirit but mob doesnt show up for his own reasons so reigan calls him while standing in front of the orchestra. Mob doesn’t answer so reigan goes on to leave him a very long voicemail explaining the situation but while hes doing so, all his hand movements make the orchestra think hes the replacement conductor. And so they start playing to his hand movements which results in a shockingly stunning and unique performance from this orchestra. People talk about it forever. It goes down in history as a moment that changed music forever etc etc

I forget does the manga/anime go into why Shigeo’s bedroom is completely barren apart from his futon or are we meant to assume it’s because his parents and/or he himself moved anything out that had the potential to be affected/thrown around by his psychic powers

I started writing a terumob fic along the lines of "we've had feelings for each other since middle school but didn't realize the other person felt the same way and now it's been fifteen years and we're adults with careers and we don't know what to do with each other but we're terrified of losing this friendship so maybe we can ignore our feelings a while longer oh s h i t what do you mean it's mutual" and I expected it to be a short and silly-sweet little one-shot but it's already 9.3k words and definitely nowhere near finished and man I should have known better

yeah okay well it's spawned 14.2k now and I've been forced to divide it into chapters because my hopes of keeping this a simple one-shot have officially flown out the window.

god teru really is the most character of all time. he was willing to commit homicide over someone ruining his hair. he considered people without psychic powers to be worthless because he thought he was worthless without them. his response to having the top of his head shaved off and being blaster into the atmosphere was to develop a superiority complex over not having a superiority complex. he hasnt seen his parents since he was nine years old. he wears a 3 foot tall wig. he has been targeted by terrorists trying to kidnap and brainwash him since before he was even a teenager. he nearly burnt someone to death and his only reaction was to be mad about his clothes being singed. he declared mob to be his rival but literally only ever acts like a normal friend to him. hes probably killed at least one person. he had never had another person over to his house before he met mob. his fashion sense is so bad people thought he was colorblind. he has enough experience with brainwashing to know how to resist it. hes just ridiculously shredded for some reason. he was fully willing to die just to stop his friend from losing control because he knew that, deep down, he wanted someone to stop him.
