I had a bunch of CBC Christmas programming screengrabs, trying to clean out some things. Of course March is a great time to post them. Santa Claus is Comin' to Town, Frosty Returns, Frosty the Snowman, and Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol Snaps

CBS Evening News Relaunch
The CBS Evening News has relaunched today (1-27-2025) with the newscast moving back to New York City and now dual anchored by Maurice DuBois and John Dickerson.
Here is the new intro, very simple, clean. A point of difference from ABC and NBC is they go right into the first story, and no calling everything "BREAKING NEWS" which has become a bad habit of national network newscasts in the recent years.
The graphics are clean and simple. That graphic there with the top 3 apps on the app stores is an example. There's no network bug either, and the lower thirds (Margaret Brennan's name there) are also very simple and don't stay on the screen, that's more classic versus things being on the screen the whole time
During a story (left) you'll see a small bug on the top left and that's really it, unless something needs to be explained via graphic. There's something interesting about this idea. One thing is many newscasts have the constant on screen stuff because they going with if you just tuned in or had the TV on mute or something.
They have a little dot motif going on
During the first commercial break , there's a squeeze box , you can see the studio during the break and there's headlines and stocks/weather
the weather. Weather graphics aren't new, some CBS owned stations have virtual weather studios NY(pictured), Philly, Bay Area, and I believe Chicago .

UP TV had a 20 years logo to celebrate their network turning 20. Funny enough they only used it from October I think the 9th or 10th until October 23rd, 2024. This channel started as Gospel Music Channel on October 30, 2004 and changed to GMC and later UP (TV) in 2013.

"Movies!" is a TV Channel that airs game Movies. Movies launched in 2013. It's pretty much like an Over the Air Turner Classic Movies it airs a mixture of movies from different decades. Though unlike TCM, It doesn't have hosts and its supported by ads.
Much like TCM it also doesn't use an onscreen bug except at certain points. Like coming back from commercial break. There's also the standard local station inserts their call sign and city of license thing at the top of each hour, as legally mandated.
The channel currently has different blocks or "showcases" where they air specific kinds of movies.
Currently those are "Friday Night Frights" - focused on horror and scary movies, "Noir to Die For" -focused on Noir films , "Definitive Movies" - Movies that broke new ground, or the box office, things like that. Sunday Night Noir- again focused on Noir. "Pop Corn Movies!" these are more fun and charming movies.

NewsNation has gone full 24/7 news programming as of today: June 1, 2024. Interesting date as the first cable news channel in the world, CNN, launched on June 1, 1980.
"NewsNation Now" premiered a 4-7pm ET weekend block to round out the line up. That also means the last vestige of Superstation WGN/ WGN America is over as entertainment programming has fully left the channel space.
NewsNation started as a 3 hour primetime news block on September 1, 2020. In March 2021, they rebranded WGN America to News Nation and started expanding programming. It went 24/5 in 2023, and started expanding weekend programming earlier this year.
