Two Bastards On Vacation

Judging by Andy’s terrified face, that extreme maneuver might have been too strong and scary for the little boy. Trondo had to be more careful from now on, if he didn’t want to look like a real idiot again in his life. He tried to lift a frightened Andy onto the ground, looking at him with a little smile on his lips. “Don’t sweat it, Andy. Don’t you like a little excitement now and then? I do, it gets my heart racing and my blood pumping. But you’re right, I better not do anything crazy to make you scared again.” He might not have scared Andy - which he had - but their arrival had certainly provoked a whole series of reactions from the people around them. The vast majority had run away. Others looked curiously at the pair, wondering fondly if they were father and son. “Well, look what we have here, a funny place to explore with my you. Let’s go, kiddo.”

Andy kept shaking despite Trondo’s reassurance. Being launched into the air with no control over his trajectory was not his definition of fun.

The moment he had the chance, he interrupted the assassin’s attempt to move him by latching onto his bandolier for safety and quietly demanded “No more sky stuff,” just wanting to get back to actually being excited to go to the amusement park.

Trondo’s presence usually managed to stir up conversation and other drama. This time, he’d also stirred the pot by seemingly trying to kill someone like many feared he would eventually do. Even near the entrance, the crowds seemed dense - a plethora of species of all shapes and sizes, though many weren’t as tall as grown dragons and (most) gnorcs.

Speaking of routines, it would almost be time for Trondo to make Gniles his first proper (and unintentional) victim.

If it wasn’t the Peace Keeper’s inability to temper his raging hatred of gnorcs that gave the poor showman more than his recommended daily intake of stress, it’d probably be courtesy of some unintentional mishap during his quest for another record-breaking thrill.

The terror of Dragon Shores was officially back...and he had brought an underling with him.

Andy don't be angry at Trondo he ate the cake because he has been starving in Earth it seems. The fairies in Artisans are gossiping about this since his arrival!

And yet all the love he had for Trondo couldn’t stop him from grumbling about it. Andy was anything but convinced, just staring at the closed fridge through squinted peepers.

Couldn’t he have taken anything else that was in there, especially something a little more substantial than a dessert?

Out in the desert, you could get some really good views of the cosmos on a clear night.

The roof of the fortress was still clutching onto the last bits of heat after another day of soaking up rays, not that it could deter Trondo from getting down on his back for some stargazing.

Andy had a more comfortable seat - as comfortable as the scar-laden chest of a burly dragon could get - and was staring up at the night sky looking at all the fascinating wispy shapes and colours surrounding the stars. They were almost like white flakes of glitter in paint.

The baby dragon’s eyes occasionally flicked in another direction, trying to locate the moons before being drawn away by everything else going on up there. As big as they were from their proximity to the planet, he was finding it a bit challenging with so much clutter up there. Beautiful, irresistible clutter...but still clutter.

Andy looked down and around, not particularly sure what this was all about. Can’t leave the confines of this hula hoop, huh?

He broke rules all the time, it was always worth a shot pushing the limits.

The hatchling extended a paw and tapped the ground just past the edge of the hoop. He was still alive, he thought as he pulled it back in and stared at it. A bit of a nudge moved the alleged trap without issue as well.

Content with the revelations (or really, just apathetic towards them), Andy scooped the hoop into his jaws and toddled off with it. Finders keepers!

First Alvar screams at everyone he’s banned from the restaurant and anybody who tries bringing him along can forget about stepping inside, and now Trondo’s claiming to have devoured the last bits of that scrumptiously sweet pie Devlin gave them as an apology for his cohort’s rant.

Mouth agape in disbelief from this betrayal, Andy couldn’t manage to do more than slowly squint his eyes. The cherry on top would follow after a few seconds of leering, where he decided to give Trondo the middle finger without changing his expression.

Good thing nobody else was around to see him do that. Titan lost his marbles the last time he witnessed this new trick of his.
