Comic Taskmaster fans- genuinely curious, what is with the hate towards the mcu version? I haven’t read any taskmaster comics, and I know it’s a really different backstory, but from what I could see taskmaster doesn’t really have a crazy backstory or anything? The biggest difference I see between them (as someone with very little comic knowledge!) is the memory loss. However! I think it would have been really cool to see them utilize memory loss in thunderbolts- maybe with her not even remembering Yelena? There’s potential there!

I was so excited to see more of her in this movie and to have her just shot point blank in the first like ten minutes seems like literal character assassination. To be taken out that easy? Right off the bat?? I’m still mad about it.

But I see tons of people hating on her mcu storyline with like no real explanation. Please infodump about this character! I want to understand!

there was a great study a few years that went into the whole "ppl online are bigger jerks than irl cuz theres a virtual wall and no repercussions" and the researchers were expecting to see that be the case but it turns out that people who were really angry or argumentative online were also found to just be assholes in person and people who were pretty patient and nice online were found to be patient and nice in real person as well

and it just debunked that whole cynical idea that people will naturally be mean if theres no punishment for it

I kinda love that season 3 showed that Kenji is brave and no longer reckless in so many ways.

He is strong in his vulnerability.

Thinking about Kenji from jwcc, who stood on shaky legs, voice slightly uncertain even in his most courageous moments.

Man, I just love Kenji's character development in jwct. It really shows how much he grew as a person and how much he learnt. Love that for him.
