What if Sting and Rogue gained the ability to use dragon slaying magic from their fathers, but they also gained the ability to use some of their mothers' magic (celestial magic, and solid script magic). So what would happen to help/save a guildmate they use their mothers' magic and then they have to explain how they used that magic to their guild.
Well, I suppose they could write it off as trying something new or using a magic item? Lucy, Natsu, and Happy once tried Mira’s magic, so it’s not impossible for mages to try different forms of magic.

Could you imagine Lucy being really motherly to Sting after she finds out hes her son despite the fact that they're around the same age?
I think after the initial awkwardness, she’d still regard him as her son for sure and definitely be motherly to him when she can. He’d probably not want to intervene in her or Natsu’s current life (not as much as Rogue would try not to with Levy and Gajeel) and remain independent as a guild leader now but he’d still totally eat up all the affection he could get! He’d also love being able to get away with stuff and have Lucy defend him “since he’s her son” haha.

I know its been awhile since this blog has posted anything but what are your guys thoughts on the new information of E.N.D. And how it affects the theory?
I think with all the info about END and Natsu, the theory could be reworked somehow to fit it though since I haven’t been following the manga for quite awhile, I’m not sure how exactly I would go about it.

If sting is the future kid nalu does that makes nashi his little sister? -Y
If Nashi turns out to exist, then yes she would be. It’s possible she wasn’t born in his timeline yet though.

What is the main mission of sting and rogue? -Y
To save the world to falling to the hands of the dragons, I suppose? With the current story arc in the manga, perhaps it could be changed to Zeref or to stop Acnologia.

How do you think future Sting and Lucy would interact with each other, since they would be about the same age wouldn't they?
I think it would be really awkward for awhile, suddenly finding out you had a son/mother who is the same age as you! I think Lucy would adjust easily though since she went through the whole Tenrou thing where she ended up younger than others who were previously younger than her. She’d probably be pretty protective of Sting too though still maintaining a separation and independence that he would want. I don’t think Sting would want her to worry or for his presence to mess up her current timeline too much, so he’d see her every so often and want to be close to her but not want to intervene or get TOO close. Kind of like Fire Emblem: Awakening with Lucina.

I read this and all of what you way makes sense! Do you remember in The Grand Magic Games arc that when Natsu & Gajeel fought Sting & Rogue that f!Lucy cried? Does that has to so anything with your theory?
Sorry for the suuuper belated response. I haven’t checked the messages for this blog in so long.
I think future!Lucy crying could definitely be tied in with the theory, somehow. Perhaps in her timeline she already learned that Rogue and Sting were her’s and her friend’s sons from the future (from another timeline than hers) and seeing them fight in the past really hit hard?

Would this timeline work? So in timeline A, there is no Rogue and Sting, so there are only 3 dragon slayers fighting Aconologia/Zeref (Wendy, Natsu and Gajeel). In this timeline, the three of them LOSE (and possibly die). In order to give the world a second chance, they send Lucy and Levy's children back 400 years or so (I didn't bother to do the math) to learn dragon slaying magic. This creates timeline B in which Sting and Rogue are there to help and possibly create a better ending.
Sorry for the belated response.
However fans of the theory want to go about the timeline is up to them and I think this timeline works just fine!

I'm a newcomer to the Fairy Tail fandom (gotta fill that Naruto and Bleach void), and I've fallen head over heels in love with the Twin-Paradox-Slayers theory. It adds such a bittersweet dimension to the whole story. Canon has blown it out of the water, but I love the idea nonetheless. Thank you for leaving this blog up. It's giving me all sorts of ideas for an FT rewrite fic that takes this ball and runs with it. Would I have your blessing?
Yeah absolutely! This blog isn’t active at all and as you said, canon has made it a non possibility, but you guys can definitely still have fun and create content for the theory however you’d like! :)

People keep telling me that this theory doesn't really make sense anymore, but I found your blog after the Grand Magic Games arc finished and I thought that they might have been sent back to stop END, rather than the dragons. What do you think?
That would be a better idea I think, especially since future!Rogue was half the reason for the whole GMG debacle anyway. It makes more sense that their goal was bigger than that.

Whoa whoa no!!! Don't delete it for Pete's sake! I can understand if you don't want to keep running it, but I go through this blog every time I get depressed because it makes me really happy! Please don't delete it!!
OH! I was just going to get rid of because I thought literally no one even visited it anymore but if it’s something that makes you happy (and possibly others!) then I definitely won’t delete it and leave it as is for you guys. :)

I’m sorry to say that I think I’ll be deleting this blog. I’m not so much into Fairy Tail anymore and this theory has also kind of died out. Unless someone is interested in running it instead, I’ll be deleting it within a week. Sorry and thank you for all your support and interest in the past!

And about Nashi, if she really sting's sister, why didn't she come to the past with sting? -Y
Well, Nashi has never been confirmed (I think originally, Mashima only said it as a joke because the name Nashi means “nothing” meaning there would be no NaLu child. But this was a long time ago and it’s hard to know what the true story was) so no one has really thought of her within the theory. I guess she could still exist but she’d probably be born after Sting and Rogue were sent to the past.

Oh and also forgot to ask you: why they learned different types of DS and not DS Fire or DS iron. -Y
Ah, another good question! I don’t think anyone has come up with a theory for this either. I’d think it’s because they weren’t old enough to learn magic before they were sent to the past and they came upon their dragons still and learned it then, which is why their magic is the same? It’s been so long since I’ve theorized about this theory, I’m not sure how well this fits within it though.

Where Sting and Rogue's "last names" comes from? (Sorry I just new in all this)
I’m not sure if anyone has theorized where their last names could have come from actually. I’d love to hear anyones thoughts on it though!

Okay so I just spent the last two days to read the ENTIREblog and guys I have to admit you got me hooked!!!!!! Holy crap I never even thought about this idea but it makes so much sense (kinda) and I just love it and OH GOD PLEASE MAKE THIS COME TRUE IT'S SO PERFECT AND AFORABLE! and if you excuse me now I have to reread the manga and find ALL THE HINTS!!!!!
The entire blog!! Congrats on getting through it all haha. It’s less likely than it was back in the GMG arc but the theory has still got some plausibility to it. And even if it does eventually get completely debunked, it’s still a fun to play with the idea outside of canon.
