I really rooted for Jancy in the first two seasons but at this point, the fact that it looks like they might be having an amicable break up in the teaser, makes me less concerned about them not being endgame, and more concerned that means it is likely that Nancy will end up with Steve. It would so dumb to have Nancy leave Steve for Jonathan only for her then break up with Johnathan and end up with Steve. Especially when we know that wouldn’t have been the original plan for endgame. It was revealed after season 3 that Robin was meant to be a love interest for Steve but it was Maya Hawke’s idea for Robin to be a lesbian, and to be clear I have no problem with that decision, it’s great that stranger things has lesbian representation with such a great character, and Steve and Robin work really well as best friends, but that did leave Steve without a love interest, which would be fine tbh, but the writers know that Steve is more beloved character then Jonathan and therefore want to fan service with Steve ‘getting the girl’. Honestly Steve is like what, 22? I think it’s fine and normal that he hasn’t found his flipping soul mate yet especially when he has to deal with helping to save the flipping world with his teenage besties. But if the writers insist that he ends up with someone, why not introduce another girl in season 4, instead using Nancy, who is a secondary main character in her own right as ‘prize’ for Steve. Hopefully they don’t do that!

Bruh Max better not be in a coma and most probably permanently blind, just cause they wanted to make a nostalgic call back to season one for the final season in the new promo picture, just with El+the boys, and therefore needed it to narratively make sense why she wouldn’t be in the poster with them hence coma 😭

Just realised while writing this post that if it was a true call back, Will would not be there, because as important as he is in season one, he was in the upside down when El, Mike, Lucas and Dustin did the iconic bike ride where El was on Mike’s bike and she flipped the van, so by rights Max could still be in the poster without ruining the callback, but they obviously can’t put her in the poster, because it would spoil if she gets out of the coma (she obviously will) and how much of a long term effect it has had on her, I just really wish she was never put in that damn coma.
