I can finally unveil this personal project! My comic version of chapter one of The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, which I finally managed to get to shortly after SOTR came out. This was a unique project for me that I've been working on, on and off, for the past year or so. Lots and lots of fun, although I did mess up in some parts (typesetting :') ) and the limited color pallette was a unique challenge. Rest of the chapter under the cut! Hope you enjoy :)

A Bit Of Emotional Damage: Regarding the sisters last moment

*spoilers*

I was just thinking about this moment after seeing yet another comment that Vi got Jinx killed… Aside from Jinx clearly being alive, Vi just couldn’t take anymore… I have done this whole spiel already so you can look there for my whole rundown, but unless I’m mistaken this is the first time in all of Arcane where she doesn’t defend herself. She blocks the hit, is knocked back, and just crawls backwards terrified and begging for Vander to stop…it’s fucking heartbreaking. We are seeing Vi just not able to take any more hurt and it almost kills her as she is calling for her dad to stop… And in that moment, Jinx saves the sister who tried so hard to save her.
