REAL AF!! i havent reblogged a post in like two million years but i figured id do that here since i agree and i have stuff to say ig. gonna go by this piece by piece

say what you will about the split itself but there were probably contestant interactions we lost by it! seeing any bfb-er and tpot-er together through like the shorts are always fun to see. namely the people who come to mind are the kinda bfdia debuters but who didnt get in (lollipop kinda works but. balloony. you were so robbed. rip your fellow beepers.), along with blocky from pen and eraser, might just be me but i think he (blocky) is the most interesting out of the three? idk, they definitely work well as a trio

cozy vibe is super interesting. theres maybe something to be said about the different vibes of different writers if you wanted to explain why but i completely agree!! one of my favorite scenes in the whole show was the bfb 12 scene before the intro. you get blocky pen and eraser all together! i love it when contestants from different teams all interact, especially when not during challenges it significantly increases the “cozy” value. it makes you feel like they are real characters. it makes you feel like these arent just competitors but real characters (i would say real people but like. objects arent people! theyre objects!!) notable tangent, the part in bfb 6-8 where a better name then that and [bleh] were both stuck on the moon, and you saw these two teams interact really well!! especially when in bfb 7 they were?? working together?? that was awesome. one of my favorite parts in the series. tangent tangent, i loved it when they just. killed four!?? and donut took over?! both a unique concept but also its done really well i feel. it feels like a chaotic shift from the formula but not to the point where it feels like it detracts from the series!

lastly on the teams, i think tpot and bfb’s teams are both equally good (i think i might like tpots’ more just because of their design ethos? hear me out, when you had so much more time with every character, you had more compelling reasons for characters to group up. a team started in spite of how bossy golf ball is (TSTOE) or having coiny try to recreate woahbunch only for gaty to intervene because to her, the team was formed because of all the zigzags they had, then saw came in and accidently named the team? (team8s)? i think thats neat! idk these are minor things and i think both series’ have good teams but when you had all the bfb debuters who didnt have a lot of history with everyone else, you got a lot of “hey wanna be friends/on the same team?” or teams where they were entirely made in one fell swoop due to a specific idea (i.e losers forming), who knows i might just not be able to remember why the bfb teams formed while the tpot teams feel so natural and make sense to me.

once again though that whole paragraph up there about the teams is so minor! they both have good teams. one other thing i think is that eight is just a pretty large number for the amount of people per team and teams. bfb was big

How do you feel about pre-split?

its a tie between pre-split and bfdia (combined pre and post hiatus) for my favorite season atm

don’t get me wrong, pre-split definitely has its issues (looking at you, bfb 5), but i hold a strong sense of fondness for it regardless, partially i think because it was the only time the entire contestant cast was together under one metaphorical roof, and partially because it just kinda gives off this cozy vibe to me (idrk why)

also pre-split has the best teams in the entire series bar none. tpot teams are pretty good but none of them can live up to the pre split teams (iance please come back i miss yoouuuuuu)

First of all, boycott eurovision. However, I AM loving all the various stories of pro-palestinian rebellion that are coming out surrounding eurovision.

Apparently security surrounding the event is through the roof, and the Eurovision team literally frisk searched all the contestants to make sure they didn't smuggle any palestinian scarves or flags in, but despite this:

there was the guy who wore his father's kufiya as a wristband during his performance

there was the woman who painted "CEASEFIRE" and "FREEDOM" on her face using ogham script, and who then did a social media post talking about it and how the EV officials refused to allow her to do it again for a later round

there was the indigenous Australian who used his body paint to paint a watermelon on his chest and later made a statement drawing attention to it and stating that he stands with the Palestinians

there's the 10,000-strong pro-Palestine protest that happened in Malmö, the city hosting the ESC this year

there's the crowd, who booed Israel during their dress rehearsal and shouted Free Palestine so loudly that the performance itself was nearly drowned out and the broadcaster (clumsily) tried to alter the audio so that the audience couldn't be heard

It's great, I love it. They can try all they like to block every mention of Palestine, but they haven't been succeeding and they'll continue to fail.

Fuck Israel, fuck Eurovision, and Free Palestine. 🇵🇸

i couldn't even appreciate the artistry behind the clothing designs this year at the met gala because my bitterness and anger toward the exorbitantly wealthy has grown too much to be contained i try to say ooo pretty gown but all the black hateful bile starts oozing out from under the lid of its container. 7 months of genocide and the largest homeless camps my city has ever seen and food banks in the universities and baby formula locked behind glass and stomach gnawing guilt over a $7 latte and rent is always late and always behind on electricity bills uh ohhhh summer is here time for another wild fire. oooo pretty gown. the next met gala theme will be bear spray and what happens is i bear spray inside the gallery. i can't even force a sort of healthy detachment anymore like "haha oh well i guess that movie actor is rich it's not like they're an ultra wealthy bazillionaire oooo pretty gown" they're all worms to me vile beasts i look at them in their isolated imagine john lennon covid song bubble and i feeeeeel the milk of human kindness curdling within me. how can you smile at the camera. we are all dying girl. isn't there a protest not even a block away from you guys? protesters and riot cops and homeless ppl in the streets. i guess that's unfair you guys deserve a night of glitz and glamour and getting away from it all as if you're not constantly away from it all. girl we are dying. sick sick world. sick dying world. anyway i didn't watch the met gala this year

As a rule of thumb, don't reblog donation posts or people asking for donations unless they've been vetted and reblogged by Palestinian bloggers. We usually go to lengths to verify this shit because we know scammers have been faking to get people to send them money, using the urgency of our genocide as bait.

It's disgusting this is what we're dealing with, but people are losing money because of some truly evil people out there.

I LOVE it when characters are awful actually! I LOVE it when characters cause conflict! I LOVE it when characters are horrible to everyone INCLUDING THEMSELVES!!! I LOVE it when a character turns themself into a bomb, slowly ticking down before taking everything with them! I LOVE it when characters hurt people and then when confronted by this DOUBLE DOWN ON THEIR BEHAVIOR!!!!
