Soulmate

I used to believe that we only have one soulmate. Now that I am older (and that I have lived a little) I think that's not true. We don't have just one soulmate but we can have two, three or even more.

It is not about THE person you will love your whole life because you are meant to be together. It is about all the people you will click with. It can be a friend with whom you can't stop laughing and forget everything bad when you're with them, one who truly understands you and who you truly understand. It can, of course, be the person you marry and spend the rest of your life with. But it also can be the person you had feelings for, with whom you could have had a great life but chose not to because you already had someone amazing waiting for you at home.

I find it extremely reassuring to see things this way. I spent lots of years questioning my feelings not knowing the path I should take or the person I should choose because I didn't know who was THE one. But darling, you don't have ONE soulmate, you have plenty, whoever you choose, you will be okay.
