hai again!

today's been a much better day than yesterday, and i believe i owe a large part of my good mood to being able to sleep in a bit earlier lol! i started work at 10 rather than 7 am today, so i was able to catch some much needed Z's!

when i got home yesterday, i was really worried about how mad my partner was going to be at me for reasons i discussed in the last journal entry, but she understood that i was sorry for being forgetful with the chores and i promised it wouldn't happen again (and i'm going to follow through on that!!!) we watched lots of Sasaki & Miyano (we got to where they kissed and confessed :">>>>), ate popsicles, and went to bed!

i got up this morning around 8 am because Juno (one of my two kitties) knocked my phone off of my bedside table like a lil criminal. but i needed to get up and make my partner some lunch to take to work today, so i appreciated the abrasive wake-up call at least a little bit. i made myself some breakfast instead of wasting money at dunkin, and then i went to work myself!

the kiddos have been INSANELY active today, practically bouncing off the walls. we went outside since it was nice, but goD was it hot out!! i'm writing this while they're napping, and i'm already dreading how much i am going to be sweating ;-; !!!

tomorrow will be the last time my partner and i see each other before she flies for an important related-work event across the country! it's a very bittersweet feeling. i know she is going to do amazingly there, but i am clueless and lost as to what to do while she's not here. how am i supposed to enjoy my days while my favorite aspect of my day will be miles and miles away? :"<

i'll figure out how to cope later, lol. time to read for the rest of nap time.

first off, i better introduce myself.

hai! for the purposes of keeping this blog anonymous, i'll be nameless. however, i WILL share with you some facts about myself. i am 23, nonbinary (they/them pronouns, plspls), and a teacher! on my free time, i record/write/produce music, read primarily romantasy books, and exercise! it's nice to meet you all!

so, about my day so far...

it's honestly not been the greatest. it's the second day of summer school for my kiddos, and yesterday was kinda draining being outside pretty much all day. safe to say that i was not the most excited person in the world to be working at 7 am, especially since i'm still recovering from the JPEGMafia concert i went to on sunday.

everything was going pretty standardly okay until i received a text from my partner saying that they were mad at me. uh oh. in my haste to get to work, i forgot to do some things around the house that i usually do, like feed the fish. also, i didn't see it while getting ready, but apparently the litter robot that we have for our cats got stuck upside down? this happens sometimes because it is an older model, but in my rush to get to Dunkin & then work, i didn't see it. the litter robot led to the kitties pooping in their bed :< dammit. not a good start for my partner at all. i know she works from home, but still i felt really really bad that my carelessness and lack of observation led to such a shitty start to her day.

i have about one more hour of work left. right now, my students are napping (god bless), and i decided to start this blog! i would have liked to have designed my own neocities website to make a blog from scratch, but i literally have one day of experience using HTML. i'm going to look up some tutorials and study some code soon to keep working on what i have for my neocities homepage. it's literally laughable. it's a basic white background with text and two images over it, almost looking like a sketchy website layout that has like a 404 error message on it. oh well!

after work ends today, i think i'll head to the gym, but i'm upset because i left my headphones/earbuds at home. cannot wait to listen to that ~lovely~ Planet Fitness ambience. then, i'll head home and see if i can cheer up my partner or at least make things right. since it's pride month, we started rewatching Sasaki & Miyano on Crunchyroll. i forgot how amazing that show is! hopefully making dinner and watching it with her will help make her smile. fingers crossed!
