Above and beyond this book was enthralling and a fantastic read. For any who love stories and dreams and getting lost in a beautifully written world. This is for you.

I have chosen not to do an extensive review on this book as I would like to leave it a little bit of a mystery for those who haven’t had the chance to read it yet.

When I started reading The Starless Sea I didn’t know what to expect, I didn’t read the synopsis on the back cover, I simply turned to the first page and started.

this book was soo good that I honestly put off reading the last two chapters because I didn’t want it to end.

Another favourite quote: “I accepted because mysterious ladies offering bourbon under the stars is very much my aesthetic.”

A shoutout to @thepoetichistorian for motivating me to read it and to @loveoutloud for giving me the last shove to do it.

So I'm sitting here in my hotel room, eating instant noodles out of a polystyrene cup and feeling happy that I managed to find a food shop today. The can of Sprite that I got was one of the highlights of my day. I found this whilst exploring one of the parks. A common misconception that people have is that adventure is comfortable and a lot of the times this isn't the case. But adventure should push you to grow and to adapt, adventure is about change, about making yourself feel alive. It should change your mindset and that's the greatest thing you could ever do for yourself.
