Posted this to my Bluesky, and I’ll post it here too
“I am you, and you are me. No longer are we each other or apart from one another. A beautiful paradox separated by the cycle of life, death, and rebirth. Son of Hades becoming the son of Zeus. I’m sorry they hurt you. I’ll take better care of us now… young Zagreus.”
- Snippet of my next project
(Further information below the cut)
So! Not super active on my Tumblr since this is pretty much my junk drawer account. Mostly liking art or other stuff here.
As I did with Bluesky, I’ll give context to this snippet of my next art project.
This quote is part of my own canon of the gods from EPIC. (Please, these interpretations are not representative of the actual Greek gods and are considered characters based off of them. I absolutely adore symbolism so I try to do research on them before I work things into their designs and lore.) As I was saying. I enjoy the connections between Zagreus and Dionysus. It gives a lot of implications and interesting story beats when making a retelling of those stories. These two are so intertwined that one of Dionysus’s epithets is Zagreus (Zagréfs), at least in the case of Orphic Dionysus. Or in the case of Zagreus, his is the Chthonic Dionysus.
Now, I am basing some of this lore on mixed stories. Like the story of Sisyphus, Zagreus’s father is considered Hades and mother being Persephone. Something to note about my Hades: He’s always wanted kids. Sometimes seeing the souls of the dead as kids from time to time. (The exception is either those in Tartarus or Elysium. Those in Tartarus, he has nothing but disgust for. Those in Elysium, he tends to treat them more along the lines of teenagers/adults.) This is especially true for the souls of actual children, where he’ll adopt them.
So, with that in mind, Hades hearing that Persephone is with child, he’s going to be taking care of her with every ounce of love and care he has in his body. Eventually, Zagreus is born and Hades immediately promises to be a better father than his own. And for the most part? He actually is. He’s very attentive and caring for his first born.
Though, due to some similarities between Zagreus and Zeus, whenever Hades’ son was on the surface, Hera had gotten the idea in her head that Zagreus was Zeus’s kid with Persephone. This is where the titan’s dismemberment of Zagreus comes into play.
When Hades gets word of this, he’s not the kind and gentle eldest brother that Hera knew since being eaten by their father. He’s angry, like a raging bull, as he storms Olympus and demands to know why his son was in the underworld as a shade, crying as he’s screaming at his brother and sister. That’s when Hera knew she fucked up. Hades is a crier, and is open about it… but he never screams, never yells at the top of his lungs.
It’s only when Zeus, the strongest of his siblings, silences him. Olympus is shaken by the weight and even Atlas starts feeling weak in the knees. Then there’s silence. A tense, unmistakable sound where every atom feels charged and ready to blow up. That’s when Persephone comes running in to ease her husband. And that’s when Hades crumbles down to the marbled floor into pained, heart wrenching sobs. Down on his knees, doubled over with one hand to his chest and the other wrapped around his stomach. Screaming out his pain as if a piece of his immortal soul had been torn from his very chest.
Unlike his brothers, Hades isn’t as fertile, far from it actually. Persephone, she was as fertile as her mother and father. She wouldn’t have any issues, but when one is the god of the underworld, king of the dead and dark, one isn’t so lucky. Zagreus was a miracle baby for him. With the death of his first born, the king of the underworld felt as cold and dead as any of the subjects he rules over.
(Side note: When I say “fertile” or similar words, I mean that someone like Hades, bringing life into something is not part of his ability. He cannot magically create a child like Hera and Zeus did with Ares. He cannot simply put part of his divine essence together with Persephone’s and create a child. Those who directly work with the dead, death, or dying are incapable of recreating the spark of life that had created the primordials from chaos. The only exception is Hermes and that’s partially due to his parentage, and partially because his main work isn’t fully with the dead.)
This breaks Zeus, for lore reasons I will eventually reveal later, hearing Hades’s anguished cries over the loss of his first born, his only legitimate child. With a stern, but gentle tone, he commands both Hades and Persephone to drink from the river Lethe. A drop from the river for every year Zagreus had lived. They could say their goodbyes, but Hermes was to retrieve the dismembered body parts, in particular the heart and retrieve Zagreus’s soul.
As for Zeus’s command to Hera, she was to vow on the Styx to keep silent of the baby’s origins. For the king of the gods was to birth a new child from his leg, and his name would be Dionysus. She could continue her revenge for it would be his child. Dionysus would be raised amongst mortals and nymphs and satyrs and only know that Zeus was his father. To the other gods who had taken up attendance, especially the first six: Demeter, Hestia and Poseidon; they were to also take the same oath of silence.
And so, Dionysus was raised as if his mother had been Semele and his father being Zeus. False memories of his mother to protect him from the truth. Hera didn’t like the idea of this wine drinking demigod becoming part of the Olympic twelve. Whether it be due to her guilt, the eerie similarities between Zagreus’s and Dionysus’s appearances, or just bitter jealousy on how Zeus tended to treat the boy, she tried to deny the newly forming god a seat.
That’s when Hestia comes in and steps down from the major seats of the main twelve. Being the eldest of her siblings, no one objected, even if Zeus did try to. She would be the one to give her seat to Dionysus, becoming a minor Olympian deity such as Asclepius or Hebe to name a couple of them.
Dionysus does get memories of being dismembered by the titans and so he generally doesn’t stop his followers from partaking in ritual madness. He sometimes actually encourages it. Wine is his favorite offering as it helps drown out the sobs he hears in his dreams (not caused by Morpheus, but suppressed memories of Zeus’s own hushed sobs), along with stares that seem to know more than they let on. It isn’t until Dionysus sees a statue dedicated to Zagreus that it hits him. Yet the only one who would be able to tell him the truth, Zeus, does not for a very long time. And when this happens, there is not getting in contact with Dionysus for a while.
Dionysus does come back, embracing some of his chthonic aspects a bit more, wearing chitons and other clothing with black or silver. Partially to spite Hera, but primarily to uphold his vow to his previous self, to Zagreus. His vow to uphold the memory of Hades’s first born in small ways. Be it with a piece of silver jewelry, purple/blue/red gemstones, or a bit of black tied into his attire. He knows that Zagreus cannot come back because they’re different deities, and bringing him back would only cause heartbreak to himself. So, he excepts that it is his past, but he keeps moving forward. Zeus is one of the only deities who are aware of this vow.
As a little note: Canonically, my Hades does have more children later on. Melinoe is considered the oldest child after Zagreus. She’s was a practice child, to bluntly say it. Hades was not the same and almost resembles Supergiant’s first Hades game, but less angry/cold and less putting down the child. Still extremely strict. She wasn’t allowed onto the surface world out of an indescribable fear Hades held in his heart. Though, Makaria was not given this same treatment. It almost resembles the relationship between Hades and Zagreus, but with that overprotective edge. She looked enough like Hades to be easily assumed as his kid. So he doesn’t get that same fear as intensely as he gets when he sees his eldest daughter.
Hades’s and Hera’s relationship never really got fully fixed. There still lingers an indescribable sense of hatred and resentment for her. He will respect her as queen of the gods and his sister, but she will forever be the last one to know information regarding his children. As for Persephone, there’s just sadness for everyone in the situation. For her husband who can never trust his youngest sister. For her children who are growing up with a father who’s full of fear for their safety with no clear explanation. For herself as she knows there’s something missing, but putting on a brave face to keep her family together and in line when Hades can’t. As for Hera, there’s a numbness there that she cannot describe. Persephone doesn’t hate her, but cannot bring herself to really like her. There is still respect for the queen of the gods, but the queen of the underworld is glad to be with her husband to escape the constant numbness whenever she’s on Olympus with her mother.
Anyway. I guess I lore dumped quite a bit. Oh well, I enjoyed explaining it. Again, these are not the actual Greek gods, but characters based around them. They are not truly representative and are not meant to be literal. This lore is for my own interpretation of the EPIC: The Musical universe and characters.
Art for the Zagreus/Dionysus piece will be released on my Bluesky for anyone who wants to stay updated on my SFW art.

Dnd Homebrew Class
So- I may or may not be working on an entire class based off of Supergiant's Hades games.
I absolutely adore the first game from the play through I'm watching. Though it's really complicated to put in every aspect of the games into a single class. Not everything is in here like the nocturnal weapons from the second game, or titans blood from the first. I am not touching anything that gains you money from creatures. Though, safe to say that you can make a build within a build with the fact that you can choose a few weapons and which one to gain an aspect to.
Keepsakes are built into the subclasses and I minimized it to one god (plus one duo boon) within each subclass, which are called disciplines. Currently have 7 subclasses, but once the initial play testing has happened and we get more content from the second game, I will be adding more content. Though the exception to this are 5 additional subclasses to round everything out.
Anyway, I may post a link to the doc if people are interested. Once it's done with the play testing stages of course

No one tell the heritage foundation who I am and the numerous nicknames I go by. I could literally use every account name I have and still have more to go. (Tyr, Sanctum, Phoenix, Wolfsbane, Orion, etc.)
I will become the fucking fey and use whatever name and email people give me. I just enjoy chaos and watching this stupid foundation burn to the ground

Posting on main to not clog where I do my art (if you wanna see it, my side blog is @sanctuaryofspirits)
Anyway! So- ‘Campuseidon is extremely volatile and has severe mood swings. Tends to force the tendencies down with flirtatious or spicier acts. So- not many places would be willing to take a loose cannon like him.
With that in mind, ‘Campuseidon does freelance work, or works as a lifeguard, surprisingly well actually. He’s also big on ocean related activism since well- that’s the domain he’s most known for.
But if he’s volatile, why can he work as a lifeguard? Well, it’s because, despite everything, safety is his top priority. (and also because he thinks Zeus is dumb enough to find a way to drown himself if he were in human disguise just to scare him.) As much as he’s angry, he genuinely wants to be helpful and keep others safe.
Freelance, I wouldn’t exactly know of what. Probably just being an activist influencer I guess? Like, probably states he worked as a marine biologist at some point and it kinda just stuck since he knows the happenings in the ocean. Gets really upset when seeing hate comments, but typically goes to a pub or something to ease the ache.
And no, he absolutely refuses to put his kids on camera. Especially if we’re talking about his son, Polyphemus (who was born without an eye.) Overall good dad in that regard. Though did make life a living hell for reincarnated Odysseus for accidentally almost poking out his son’s eye. He’s petty, and this is just a repeat of history for him so he absolutely refuses to let go.
Other than that, if he’s not around his wife and kids, he’s probably hanging out with the rest of his family. Especially his siblings since they all have a close bond. Though, probably doesn’t hang around Zeus too often since his younger brother is a lot more active in well- let’s just say he’s in more adult industries. And is much more of your typical influencer (though he does have a lot more grace than most since he really plays into the hospitality aspect of himself.) Poseidon just doesn’t want that same sort of attention, despite being a serial flirt himself. More so than Zeus surprisingly.
That’s just my personal headcanons for ‘Campuseidon. He’s a good dad- but he’ll be damned if he sees the reincarnated version of Odysseus
POSEIDONVERSE WRITERS/ARTISTS
If your Poseidon was in modern times and had a mortal disguise (including occupation and bonds with others), what would it be?
I need it for… Science. Drop it in reblogs or comments if possible <3
Totally not planning to do some writing.
And yes I was absolutely inspired by someone’s art of reincarnated Odysseus. I don’t remember who SOBS

Gods- let me tell you about another tumblr-loved self ship of the Onceler from the Lorax movie. There’s also Bill Cipher as well and is arguably closer in comparison to the Poseidonverse, and is extremely similar to sanscest since it’s just a bunch of AU bills in a room.
Actually- you can look into it on YouTube. I know someone went deep into researching Onceler selfcest. I’ve watched it before because I missed out on those years of the internet
(Then again, don’t mind me. I’m just quietly shipping ‘Campuseidon mentally with just about every Poseidon in this multiverse. He’s my baby and I have traumatized him like I have for all of my original characters… it’s just worse ‘cause he has preconceived traumas because of him also being Poseidon.)
question for the cc, WHY IS EVERYONE SHIPPING THEIR POSEIDON DESIGN?! IT'S LIKE GLITCHTRAP AND WILLIAM AFTON ALL OVER AGAIN!!

Welp- time to use this as reference for crocheting! Especially the Chlamys since that’s the vibe I was wanting to go with for a couple projects. Plus the possibility of learning how to make granny squares for some of these.
Mind you: I wanna make these for late autumn-early spring wear since I live up north and it’s decently cold around those periods of time.
Definitely not gonna eyeball the length and width of some of these to get an idea of the dimensions, consequently needing to redo everything if the slightest thing is out of place.
I do love a challenge though!

Once again reposting because I am actually pretty proud of getting back into doing human(oid) chibis. Same reasons for repost That I did with my last one

Campuseidon Update!
Note: Ken doll anatomy for later reference for clothing. There is no NSFW here!
Anyway, with that out of the way: here’s ‘Campuseidon in his humanoid form! Super messy sketch because I wanted an idea from my description on Poseidon’s humanoid form I typed out.
Something to note with ‘Campuseidon is that he has several spots along his body. Especially the ones that glow an ocean green. These ones specifically are from Cronus chewing and breaking his bones! So yes, if Antinous did complete what he said he’d do in Hold Them Down, Poseidon is gossiping with everyone who’ll listen, especially Odysseus, because he knows too well how it feels for bones to break. Besides that, I’m probably not adding his post “600 Strike” scars as that is 24-ish puncture wounds that’ll be glowing an ichor gold. Especially when doing a chibi. Plus the sword strikes are like- around as thin as a paper cut so that would be counter productive to add all of them.
Humanoid!‘Campuseidon does not cover his upper half outside of a golden metal front plate harness, with the back being made of the finest leather. May add his horn rings + diadem combo as well. Though he’s wearing his chiton and himation like a skirt. The chiton is thinner, white, and is longer. His himation is shorter, is lapis blue, and thicker. The himation also has some seaweed patterns. I will be adding armbands and greaves to him too.
Basically just semi-formal look.
As another fun little note to his design! When I finally can draw up a proper design, his beard is very reminiscent of his trident! He also has a 5 o’clock shadow mustache. Everything is pretty close to the face, so it’s not a “run your fingers through the beard” length. It’s just long enough that it’s not prickly

Ready for Campuseidon?
Gods… Ok- So- I have posted these pictures on my Bluesky, but not here yet! Cloudysseus belongs to @kdpartworks with the original designs for them is by @/neal-illustrator!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I forgot ‘Campuseidon’s gills in the original post of my Bluesky. I will be detailing this illustration without Poseidon to actually show the harness he often wears. I will also be adding his jewelry and wild celery wreath as well. I just didn’t want to add the additions after painting the background, which will be edited once I get to editing the sketch.
But yeah! So fun little fact about the dangling jewel: It’s a Cat’s Eye Aquamarine. I didn’t want to add explicit eye imagery since Poseidon is known to have the most children in Greek mythology, so I decided to just adding explicit Polyphemus imagery wasn’t what I wanted to go for. Though, my Poseidon is also very protective of his immediate family. So, I decided the Cat’s Eyes Aquamarine as a nod to Polyphemus was a decent compromise.
Tumblr media
Also, as a note: My Poseidon has 3 forms he takes- Monstrous (40 ft tall), Humanoid (16 ft tall), and Human (6’3” tall). My Ody is around 5’5”-5’8”. I just leaned into him being 5’5” when comparing sizes.
Once I have the monstrous forms for the first six Olympians (Hestia, Hades, Demeter, Poseidon, Hera, and Zeus) done, I will be going into a lore dump for each character and how they fit into my canon.
Only big things are that blood is different between Primordials, Titans, Gods, and Demigods.
Primordials: Red blood- They’re from which humanity came from, clay (with help from Prometheus and Athena, but the bodies were created from the mud and clay that was a part of Gaia). Their blood, though, glimmers like rubies instead of a more crimson color like our own.
Titans: This is something only in my canon! In my canon, the Titans were the first to taste nectar and ambrosia. So, their blood was stained orange. This is when their eyes began to glow as well. Though, for them, it was a dim glow. They didn’t get anymore nectar or ambrosia, so it stayed stained after the overthrowing of the titans.
Gods: Just like in mythology, it’s an Ichor gold! Their eyes glow brightly from the constant tastes of ambrosia and nectar.
Demigods: They have flecks of Ichor amongst the crimson in their blood, which sometimes can reflect in their eyes. Especially when individuals are born with albinism. Their eyes, unlike a titan or god, do not glow, much like the Primordials.
Note: None of the deities are related by blood. Each of them contains the essence of who created them and a little bit of Chaos. Their relationships are typically misconstrued by the mortal mind. Some do see each other as siblings, especially those born to human parents, but none are blood related.
Anyway! More lore is to come. When I get the ‘Campuseidon illustration done, I’ll go more in depth with him specifically. I just wanted to give an overview to my canon. There’s still more to come. Let’s see if I can slowly get into drawing humans so I can group everything together neatly

OMG! My baby boy! Literally don’t worry, it took roughly 10 hours to sketch, line and color for me. Most of that time was for color and patterns alone.
You did my boy justice for sure!
Now to get started on an art piece for another character I have that isn’t a ref sheet
Wondering if you could do my boy Ghost?
Tumblr media
Please don't take this up if it's too complicated. Took me hours to get the patterns down myself. If you do want to take this up, please feel free to simplify it for yourself
Tumblr media
oh he was DEF so cool to color,, i love how intricate the patterns on his scales are !!!!! def may have dropped the ball a few times while drawing em, but i hope u like it nonetheless !!!

Facing the Struggle as Queer Transgender Refugees: We Need Your Help 🌈
Hi there,
I’m AshleymilesPhil, a transgender queer refugee, and I’m reaching out with an urgent plea. Life in the refugee camp is unimaginably harsh for our LGBTIQ community. Daily persecution is constantly hanging over our necks, and we’re battling diseases like malaria, tuberculosis, typhoid, HIV/AIDS, and cholera. Combined with extreme shortages of food, clean water, medicine, and safe shelter, every single day is a fight for survival.
Your support can make a life-saving difference. Any donation, no matter how small, can help provide essentials like food, clean water, and medical care for our community. If you’re in a position to give, please consider contributing to our GoFundMe:
If donating isn’t possible, you can still make a huge impact by reblogging or sharing one of my pinned posts. Spreading the word helps amplify our voices, which have been silenced for far too long.
Thank you for your compassion, kindness, and for standing with us in this fight for survival. Your support, whether through donations or sharing our story, means the world to us.
With gratitude,
AshleymilesPhil
