Sam & Dean: It Has Never Been Like That, Ever?
- this is a 30 min video about samâs life and the antagonistic role dean played in it up through 8x23 sacrifice, centered around refuting deanâs claims in his speech to sam (because i hate that speech), as well as refuting popular (false) fan interpretations of their relationship
2 min. clips:
part 1 â˘â˘ part 2
part 3 â˘â˘ part 4
part 5 â˘â˘ part 6
thank you to all of the critical thinkers of samblr
(disclaimers below)
- of course dean loved sam (well, he loved sammy), abusers often do, but that doesnât mean he didnât also emotionally and physically abuse him
- i do actually like (canon) dean as a character and i enjoy how he feared becoming his father but ended up being so, so much worse
- i included as much context as i thought was necessary to present dean as his authentic self
- yes some of the things that dean said were samâs hallucinations or while dean was possessed 1) but those clips are purposely placed back to back with things regular dean said 2) which shows that dean really meant them and that thereâs a reason why sam believed heâd say them
- i didnât include dean blaming sam for challenging johnâs orders because of how muddy it got with deanâs shift to coming to terms with the reality of their fatherâs flaws

This is me but with Filth
how many times am i going to allow myself to be absolutely wrecked by Atonement you ask?
as many times as it takes until i have memorized every line.
until it is seared into my brain.
until james mcavoy literally jumps out of the screen and tells me to stop watching it.

The âsame rules applyâ in Filth was particularly haunting.
Wow, if I had a nickel for every time I've watched a different movie ending with James McAvoy breaking the 4th wall while making a powerful statement and staring directly at the camera just before taking a human life, Iâd have two nickels. Which isnât a lot, but itâs weird that it happened twice, right?

Chappell Roan is the best. As a queer Midwesterner, it's always nice to see someone make it out. Check out more wonderful things can be found on mattxiv's Instagram.

"It is the coolest thing ever because Iâve only recently started referring to myself as a lesbian, and Iâve only recently been in a relationship where Iâm like, 'Yeah, Iâm a lesbian for sure.' I never consumed any piece of queer media up until maybe three months ago. Iâm watching The L Word for the first time, and I just watched But Iâm a Cheerleader, and Iâm watching all these movies and parts of gay culture, specifically lesbian culture, and Iâm like, 'I love this.' Itâs also been the most rewarding, validating, scary and exciting experience ever. So to imagine that that could be like that for somebody else, that makes me love acting." â RENEĂ RAPP (x)
